Top Amazon Reviews

  • A fantastic bed, with a few simple tweaks
Color: Grey Size: King
I'll start by saying I didn't really know what to expect with this bed. My wife and I spent literally a combined 4 or so hours pouring over reviews and, while the vast majority are positive, the negative ones were concerning. I've read about missing, damaged parts, fitment issues where bolt holes don't line up and, arguably the worst of the bunch, squeaking and a lack of sturdiness. I'm pleased say, now that mine is put together and we've slept on it, we couldnt be happer with it. If it helps for anyone, here are some tips.. - First and foremost be very careful removing the parts from the box. We had a few small scratches on some pieces and I suspect they were scratched going into the box or by me removing them because we had zero box damage. So, the only part of that you can control is how carefully you take the parts out. Be careful not to bang one part into the next. - Do an inventory and make sure to account for every piece in the item list in the manual. For obvious reasons. - Make sure to have threadlocker on hand. One of the complaints I've read over and over was about the bolts unscrewing themselves over time. Manfacturers of this type of furniture often times send their hardware with a dab of threadlocker on each bolt, typically just a spot of blue toward the end. This manufacturer doesn't, so spend the 6 bucks on blue threadlocker and save yourself some headaches. - Look at every assembly step in the instructions twice before doing anything. The instructions are clear if you take the time to take a good look. - Use felt on as many metal-on-metal contact points as you can. We used a pack of the felt funiture pads..the ones with the adhesive on one side for putting on furniture legs. This helps cut down on any clanking or squeaking and, in the cast of the 5 small legs, with making the fit more snug. - On our unit, the 5 support legs did not reach the ground. In fact they were just about an inch short of making contact. I made shims with small blocks of wood to help with this. For those reviewers that mentioned the legs buckling and bending in one direction or the other, I'd guess thats because their legs weren't shimmed. If the legs don't make contact and you get in bed, chances are they'll bend one way or the other on the way down from the pressure of the weight. The shims helped to firmly plant the legs against the floor. We have a new king sized Sleep Number mattress which, if put on a platform, requires slat spacing of no more than 2 inches. The metal slat spacing on this are much wider so we opted to make bunkie boards out of plywood and canvas. Between my wife and I, we weigh approximately 450. The bed is sturdy, quiet and supportive enough that we have every confidence it will last. There is zero noise getting in and out of bed or while rolling over or engaging in "bed wrestling." That all said, no regrets at all about the purchase. One star off for the fact that it's not perfect without some tweaks but, for the price point, I can't say enough about it. TL/DR -Take the parts out of the box very carefully to avoid damage -Do an inventory of parts -Use threadlocker to make sure bolts stay put -Shim legs where necessary to make sure they make contact with the floor -Use felt on metal-on-metal contact points to cut down on noise and make sure everything fits snugly ... show more

  • No monkeys on this bed frame
Color: Grey Size: King
Not a very tall frame either if you are a tall person. I'm 6'7" and the top bars are eye level. I did hang some curtain lights from the frame and managed to woo/impress a lady friend. However, don't get too excited, the bars are too thin for any sort of swinging on the frame. It functions as a bed frame well, and looks good. Wish it was another 6+ inches taller and sturdier so I could do more than just sleep on it. ... show more

  • Decent bed, but we ended up swapping
Color: Gold Size: Queen
I have had this bed for 9 months now, and I am getting rid of it. I originally bought this bed to replace another canopy bed that was too tall for the chandelier in our room after we moved, and at the time, I was mostly focused on something functional but aesthetic, and for those purposes, this bed still fits the bill. The gold finish looks great, and as far as I can tell, the bed has held up, structurally (I don't see any bent legs). My mattress is thick and extremely heavy, so I haven't taken it off the base yet to check for loose screws or bent slats. Between the mattress, my husband and I, I would say we're approaching 500 lbs. The reason I am getting rid of this bed now is that the motion transfer has become unbearable. My husband jerks around a lot in his sleep, and every little movement shakes the entire bed. This wasn't a problem in either of our previous beds. This bed was slightly more creaky than other beds when we first assembled it, but nothing terrible. And while the creakiness has stayed at the same tolerable level, the movement and jiggling has gotten consistently worse. If you sleep alone, or have a partner that doesn't move much, I would definitely recommend this bed as a good buy. But if you or your partner is one of the flailing sleepers, I would get something slightly sturdier. ... show more

  • Sturdy and Minimal
Color: Gold Size: King
Looks great and it is very sturdy. Mattress doesn’t move around. Packaging was done very well none of my parts were lost and all the metal was free of damage. Set up took an hour but I don’t know if I’ll ever get these stickers off! Btw the gold is more brown than gold so keep that in mind. The color goes great with my olive green comforter but if you’re looking for an elegant, bright gold this will disappoint. Also as another buyer suggested the hardware doesn’t match and should be painted first …. I didn’t listen so I’ve got bright silver bolt ends. Overall I still rate 5 stars for the quality and sturdiness. ... show more

  • It’s a nice sturdy bed
Color: Gold Size: King
The box was really beaten up upon arrival but miraculously nothing was dented. We were missing a few washers that had fallen out but wasn’t the end of the world. The bed came with good instructions to put together. It took a couple of hours by myself but did require an extra pair of hands to put the top canopy on. The bed is quite low which might be helped by a box spring but then that would hide the back rest. We did use risers to lift it 3” off the ground and that height was better. The ‘warning’ stickers on the canopy are a pain to get off. That took some time in itself. I think it was all worth it though and good for the price of $280 for a king size. ... show more

  • A few problems but a nice bed
Color: Gold Size: Full
The bed is certainly heavy and sturdy. I am close to 70 , so it took me twice as long to do, but I did it. When it came to the top pieces, I put the black parts on the side pieces at each end, then hung them up. Next was to just attach the front and end to the sides already up. Worked great. Four stars because one of the bolts would not fit the hole….it just didn’t line up, or something. Having someone look at it tomorrow. Also the round bars that the mattress sits on , and it seems like maybe I ended up with a queen frame as the mattress seems too small for the bed. ... show more
