This bed is WAY too close to the floor for my needs. The mattress is also ridiculously thin. I had to purchase a thin foam mattress pad to go underneath the mattress to keep it from sliding off the frame every time my mom moved on the bed. I also purchased a 4 inch eggcrate AND a 2 inch mattress pad/cover to make it high enough for my mother to get on and off of it without too much of a problem.
