    • Great looking, sturdy piece of furniture that is time-consuming to assemble
We needed a bedframe and extra storage space in our room. So we purchased a King size of this upholstered bed. Delivery of the bed came without issue and we received all the parts without damage (one end of the long piece was ever so slightly bent but didn't pose a problem either structurally or aesthetic-wise). My husband, who I joke is the unhandiest man in America (he strongly disagrees with that viewpoint) started putting the bed together over a few days. He started by assembling all of the drawers and we put them off to the side until he had a full day free to finish putting it together. It took him the better part of his Saturday to finish the assembly with the occasional assist from me (and he only cursed at the directions every few hours -- or at least that I could hear). So it can be done! The bed's design is excellent in that the drawers at the end of the bed are incredibly big and the ones on the side are about mid-point on the bed so that you can regularly use them and simultaneously have a night stand table, which is something that cannot be done with many of the other beds with storage. As for the size of the drawers, they are far larger than anything we have available to us in our dresser/chest. In fact, I can fit about 2 1/2 dresser drawers' worth of clothing into the large drawer at the end of the bed and 1 1/2 dresser drawers' worth of clothing into the side drawers. Overall, I am really pleased with this piece. Also, the questions repeatedly said that an adjustable bed would not fit on the bedframe. I do not have an adjustable bed that moves direction; however, I do have a sleep number bed that allows you to adjust the mattress firmness and the original box frame and mattress fit perfect on this, which I am very thankful for because I think my husband would have killed me if it didn't after all that work he did! ... show more

    • Great bed, long assembly time.

We originally bought this bed from Wayfair 3 years ago. We lost our house in a fire and were ready to buy again as we thought it was nice. This time Wayfair was out of stock (under a different brand name) but we found it on Amazon under the DG Casa name. As others have said, the instructions are so-so. It will take 2 competent people about 4 hours and you will need the following to assemble this: basic hand tools, hammer, screwdrivers, a sense of humor, and a bottle of good bourbon. We bought the king size, you will need some space to spread out. Take your time and you will be fine. The delivery took about a week and came in 6 large boxes, some are quite heavy. In our case, box #3 contained the wrong color pieces. I contacted the seller and they were super responsive and happy to rectify the problem once I sent them some photos. We like the bed as it looks nice and the 4 drawers offer tons of storage. There are a lot of reviews about things not fitting right. We found this to be true on the first bed as I had to shim some of the drawer slides with washers to get them to operate better. On this bed everything fits great. I'm not sure if we got better pieces or that we had some previous experience in putting one together and we just did a better job on making sure everything was aligned when we screwed it together. Pro Tip - Go to your local big box store and get a cheap rubber mallet to smack some things together if needed (a hammer will dent things) and 3 extra 1 x 3's (they're a couple bucks each) to put across the inside frame for added support. Just some added peace of mind if you do a lot of "bowling" in bed. For the money, it's a great deal, take your time. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. If you don’t use a box spring, you need a GOOD bunky board that goes all the way to the corners. Otherwise the base and head part do not have mattress support. Beautiful bed. Drawers are large. If you do use a box spring, expect a lot less headboard showing.

    • No boxspring needed
We just got our bed yesterday so only one night on it thus far. We do love the look of the bed. We got a KING Charcoal color and it is pretty. The color to me almost looks like a pair if dark wash jeans. Only thing I think is important to note... the bed comes with I think 6 wooden slats and everything I kept seeing was that it needed a boxspring-so We got one. Well now our bed sits so high we have to leap into bed and cannot reach the nightstands... so I would suggest just getting the additional slats. Or the bunkie slats would be perfect... so it still has the platform feel. We will be taking the box spring off bc we are not tall people around here. Like I said it is just night one but it seems pretty sturdy and assembly wasn't terrible. It did take us probably about 6 hours but we are not professionals either. Overall I think it is worth the money and a great addition to our space. ... show more

This bed was EXTREMELY hard to assemble and took me and my husband multiple days to fully get it put together. The instructions are horrible. But the overall quality of the bed itself is great. We’ve had ours for about 6 months now and I love it.

This bed is beautiful--the material is soft, the drawers are sturdy and very deep, and it has a very luxe look. The directions are not written well for putting the bed together, and caused a bit of a headache in making sure I was putting the pieces together with the proper hardware in the right order. Once put together, though, it is a great furniture piece. We purchased bed slats to use separately, rather than using a mattress foundation/box spring. When the pieces were shipped, we received one box with the wrong color. Customer service was AMAZING--quick to respond and send the replacement piece, asking only for photos to confirm the wrong color had been sent on accident. They followed up as well to ensure that I received the replacement and that I was satisfied. I am very pleased with the experience. ... show more
