I’ve been using the Dfito 9-piece chef knife set for a few weeks and I’m really impressed. The high-carbon stainless steel blades arrived very sharp and hold an edge well through regular prep — slicing vegetables, trimming meat, and chopping herbs have been effortless. Each knife feels balanced in the hand and the red Pakkawood handles are both attractive and comfortable, giving a secure grip even during longer tasks.

Alright this review is for the ones who want to know the truth about these knives. I only just bought these but will update with further updates. I have been doing a lot of research on knives and there are a lot of things these knives claim that are contradictory. First let's start with the material; these knives claimed they are high carbon stainless steel. Those are two different materials. And the pictures make it look like Damascus. These are NOT Damascus. And although I have used them much based on what I can tell based on flexibility and what reviews are saying about ust, these are more likely to be high carbon steel. Which is actally greatjust, means the edge will stay sharper longer, but not forever. Hone them frequently like before or after every use. But it does have some down sides. These will most likely rust if you let water sit on them. So dry them immediately after washing and do not leave them in water or the sink(bad practice anyways). The second down side to this is because its harder its also more brittle. DO NOT drop your knife. Especially not on a hard surface, because it will likely snap. They are pretty thick so its extremely unlikely for this to happen during normal use but could easily happen if it its something hard. Second thing; these in the end are a no name brand set of Knives trying to make something somewhat decent. This, and the price, is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 3. But its important to remember because the quality control is likely not present. The blade guards do not fit well and fall off easily, its much more likely you will either lose them or throw them away. The angle of the blade has been brought to question and although I can't measure it I suspect there is likely some QA issues with that too. Third thing; im actually really surprised by how many people are saying these are sharp out of the box. They were actually disappointingly dull to me. Not Walmart knives dull but there was significant resistance when cutting an apple. After a minute of some serious honing I was able to get them to about the same level as a ceramic knive but we're still duller than my babish knives. They did cut through tomatoes well though. Now luckily everything but the bread knive has a non serrated edge so they would be easy enough to sharpen if needed, and if your buying a knive set like this or better its probably time you learn how to use a sharpening stone. Last things; whatever knives you get. Use a wood cutting board. Preferably the end grain ones if you can afford it, or at the very least a plastic cutting board. And never cut on stone or glass or a countertop because all knives will dull quickly. Check your knives edge with your finger nail to make sure its not rolled. If it is, hone it straight if you can it'll make a big difference. And the very last thing I want to say is I was worried that the red color would look really bad, but after getting them its almost black and is quite beautiful. There may be variation due to ir being claimed to be wood but I was impressed with how sleek it was. I hope this helps you decide. :)
