Love these blinds! They feel very high quality and study. The mechanism where it just stays wherever you put it is awesome! Way better than the old style with strings hanging everywhere. Super easy install. I got the faux wood ones first for one room, then the flat ones for a different room. I just keep going back for more as I look around and notice how much worse all the old blinds are in my house. Absolutely recommend these, you won't be disappointed. Also great customer service, one of the blinds was missing the mounting hardware (I blame USPS for this, the box was slightly mangled on one end) but these guys shipped me new hardware on the same day I let them know it was missing. Nice quality, 2” slats for relative large window 70x48. Light enough yet not too heavy for the mechanism to push up or pull down. We recently purchased honeycomb room darkening blinds that were 3x the cost and only lasted barely 2 years and the mechanism broke. These blinds need not be pulled up except for cleaning the windows but rather open and close with the handle on one side of the blind. We purchased 2 since there are 2 windows same size in the room.     • Came broken twice
I have 7 large windows in my house and needed some blinds for five of them, the other two were already taken care of. These are some of the least expensive large size blinds that I could find (70X72) I started the process of buying them every other month or so and am on window #3 now, but twice they have came to me broken! So 2 out of 4 times I have gotten the broken ones and the website says no more. I think they are sending me broken ones that someone else has returned, at least it looks like that way on this last one that I am in the process of returning today. The box had previous stickers on it and some of the parts are missing. I would have tried to make them useable but they are cracked right in half! All the slats and the top rail were busted into 2 pieces and the only thing holding them together were the strings. The first broken one was actually in 3 pieces, and they were cracked in a Y shape, the ones I am returning today were in half. I knew it was a bad omen when I opened one end of the box and little chipped pieces started falling out. It must have been dropped on the end because what it was is the chips were little pieces of the slats that were on the ends, like the corners of the slats, almost the one whole side was like this as well as being broken in half. Very disappointing. I am writing in big black marker on the box that they are broken so someone else does not get them! They are not bad shades, not the thickest and are a little tricky to put up especially on the size that I have to have. It comes with 4 of the clips that hold it inside the window frame, and if the instructions are followed it says to hold the blinds up while marking where the clips need to go, That is impossible for one person to do so I stand on a ladder in the middle of the window, mark 2 and measure the others. I need them to help with trying to keep the heat out of my house and keep them pulled most of the time to use as an extra defence against the hot southern sun. We frequently get temps above 100! The 4 large windows all are southern facing and take the brunt of the heat and these blinds do help to keep out the suns hot rays so my AC bill is not astronomical! I also have some pretty blackout curtains on the windows that help with the heat as well. In a nutshell, I still need 3 more shades and this site says they are out of the size I need. At a 50% chance of them coming in broken I guess I will have to look elsewhere. I think the manufacturer needs to package them better, they simply come in a box wrapped in a long plastic bag. ... show more
