The mechanism for angling the shades starts out incredibly stiff. As you try to tilt the shades down, the plastic rod and the connection hook both feel like they are strained to the breaking point. It gets worse not better as I try to tilt up and back down. It simply will not tilt down. It won't go half way. I have to use it tilted up only, something I would never do. Even this is quite difficult. The picture shows the shades tilted down as far as I can go. Incredibly frustrating to get something this bad that would take time to return when I really needed the shade to operate correctly on Day 1 as it is needed to make my office usable during specific hours. I did call Customer support. The person put me on hold several times to ask someone else questions about my questions and never came back. Eventually I hung up. My fiance had two of these up within 1 hr which I thought was impressive. the only issue with them is that the bottom is slightly larger than the top piece or the blinds. so if you line the top pieces the blinds up the bottoms don't fit next to each other
