I really love this bed. It was a slight hassle putting together but that’s because I’m not a very handy person. The mattress is an 8 in, which still left a little room on the back side of the bed. The hardware it comes with to put it together don't match well, I've had the drawers fall apart when opening them, and I can't find other hardware to make it better. Very happy with this bed. Didn’t run into any issues putting it together except for 4 boards that weren’t marked but my husband managed to figure it out. Our granddaughter loves it and she has fully decorated underneath it to make it her own space. Shipping was great, arrived earlier than it was suppose to so that was a bonus!
