The media could not be loaded. Why did you pick this product vs others?: The reviews seemed to be pretty good that’s why I decided to get this. I’m so glad I did! Where has this been all my life. It is amazing to put 5 gallons of gas in my mower and not have to lift that heavy container. Pump functionality: The pump came on immediately when I pushed it to start it. Pump speed: It’s not super fast but it’s steady and very easy to use Fuel transfer: Very steady on fueling Length: Hose is plenty long enough from garage floor to my two turn mower tanks. Battery life: I removed the batteries once I was done because it’ll be awhile before I need to use it again. Capacity: It pump 5 gallon in no time at all and it got all the gas out of the container.

Easy to install on a 5 gallon container. Have used several times and works smoothly. It takes roughly 3 minutes to empty out a 5 gallon container. With the container sitting on the ground and everything connected the hose is long enough to reach the gas tank. Would definitely recommend.

we have purchased the cheaper version of these and they usually stop working in just a few uses. This one has a smaller end (that goes into the gas can) which makes it much easier to get in and out of the can. We have used it a dozen times already (prepping for hurricane season) and it still is powerful and works as it should. We will probably buy a second to have on hand.

This pump is a real back saver. Holding a 5 gallon can of gas to fill my mower (now snow plow) was a real strain on my back. I've had operations and that aggravated it. ONE caveat! be sure to have an older gas can. The newer ones sold have a slightly smaller diameter and the pump will not insert into the can. I have two new ones from different manufacturers that have the new restrictive input guard (easily removed), but the pump will not insert into either. Fortunately I have two of the older 5 gallon cans and the pump fits just like described.. It really is a super auto-shutoff back saving pump. I am really pleased with how well it works. HmS

I haven't used mine yet but my sister has this product and it works so well. During hurricane season it will be so handy to have to fill up my generator. Just like putting gas in your car at the gas station.

Style: 39" Hose With Auto Stop Nozzle
First the pros. The pump works great and it's very easy to operate. Now the cons, and this killed it for me. After i used the pump to fill my mower i drained any extra fuel in the hose into my mower tank, i even raised the hose up in the air to allow any remaining (very little) fuel in the hose to drain back into the pump/gas can and inserted the hose in it's holder. This pump some how held a vacuum/ suction of some cert and after returning to the shed to put my mower back up i had a nice surprise waiting for me. There was fuel all over my shed floor coming from the hose of this pump. I total mess to say the least. So keep this in mind if you decide to purchase this pump. For me it was a waste of money and is now sitting on the shelf taking up space. Now one can say, after it's used just pull the pump out of the gas can so this won't happen. Well that defeats the purpose for me. The pump is setup to be attached to the tank for easy and quick transfer. If i have to go through the process of unscrewing the pump and taking it out of the tank each time then i'd just prefer the old way, pick up the gas can and pour the fuel into the tank and sit it back down. I didn't buy this to increase the job process of fueling up equipment. Now with that being said the pump will serve a positive purpose for some things. If you're going to buy it for larger fuel transfer once in awhile let's say from tank to tank and then put the pump away for awhile until the next big project then i'd say the pump will be perfect for that. But for everyday use where you plan on leaving it attached to the gas can, then no i wouldn't purchase it.
