The media could not be loaded. Okay wow! Seriously, wow. This pump is amazing! So a little back story here, I recently bought a different manual barrel pump similar to this one. It was metal and felt very solid and was twice the price of this one and I was impressed by it. It was difficult to pump but did the job... Slowly. I was really happy (even if it didn't put out a ton, had to pump for a while to fill my watering can each time... That happiness lasted a day. Within a week and in only 2 uses it was rusting and the plunger gasket literally ripped itself apart. I couldn't find a replacement part and I've checked everywhere! So, basically it was a huge waste of money. THIS PUMP however... Wow! My first thought was this is half the weight or less, it's plastic, this doesn't look like it's going to work well. Boy was I wrong. It did take a minute to assemble but was pretty easy, I didn't even need the instructions but I am pretty handy and mechanically inclined. I took it to my water barrel and it screwed right into the plug hole easily. I pumped it a few times and nothing came out and I was starting to feel like my expectations were correct, then it started coming and WOW (I know I keep saying wow, but I was super impressed by this little work machine). It's so easy to pump you could do it with a single finger, but puts out ten times the water the old one did. My watering can is full in about ten or fifteen pumps. There is a built in check valve(one way valve) in the middle/bottom of the tube and it makes it so much easier to pump and if I stop to use the water, when I walk back it starts flowing as soon as I pump again. They even include a little expandable hose that attaches to the end of the pump. It's like those kids hose toys that expand and you swing around to make noise. It can be shaped/directed and shortened or lengthened to whatever size you need. I really loved it, it is so convenient and great to fill the watering can or even spray at the plants. The water flows so fast though, that the hose might wiggle free. They include silicone tape for the pipe threads. And the bottom pipe is able to be easily lengthened to whatever length you need. It is a tiny addition that is really convenient and I now want another hose like that for 4 other things, so useful! This pump impressed me so much that I decided to try it on my well that is 15ft deep. The pipe threads matched some PVC I had, took a little rigging to get it set up enough to test it. I was sure it wouldn't work on something so deep... I was wrong. Once again this little beast shocked me. It took quite a few pumps and it was definitely harder to pump pulling water so deep from the well but again... the water started flowing! Wow! I probably won't leave this out in the winter being plastic, but this thing is worth it as weight in gold.

Decent drum pump at least for what I am using it for. I am pumping thin hydraulic fluid used in farm equipment and it functions ok. Its not super fast but if you don't use it too often it's fine. It stated 9 to 14 oz per stroke but I am getting almost exactly 8 which works out great as 4 strokes gets me a quart and normally i am pumping 2-3 quarts for top offs. Position the pickup tube close to the bottom of the drum as it seems to keep prime better and pull enough fluid up initially. Its easy to install but the hose it comes with is worthless, it leaked at the upper connection and was aggravating to remove and swap as I have to pump some into a small container so one star deducted for the less than ok hose.. I put a length of air hose I had on hand that was much thicker and used a compression fitting to adapt the outlet to a quick connect I had on hand and its much better now. Decent value on a lightweight drum pump. Genes 2 cents!

I put this into my rain barrel. It was a great length to allow me to pull almost all the water from it for my plants. It is easy to put in and really has an excellent flow.

Pump works well when it works. The handle has a good bit of flex in it and often the pump would almost seem to get vapor locked or something like that. Wouldn't be able to move the pump handle at all. The only thing I could figure out to do to fix that when it happened was to take off the nozzle and spray some fluid directly into the pump. Flow rate is good again, when it works.

I have a few 55-gallon buckets in my backyard to store rainwater for watering the flowers. I have always used a siphon type. Many times, I forget to bring up the hose after drawing water, and the water keeps flowing out, which is very wasteful. I saw the description of this manual pump saying that it has a strong pumping capacity, so I bought one to try and see if it is stronger than the siphon type. After using it, I feel that the water intake of the two is not much different. But this manual water pump can avoid wasting water, and it is also very fast to fill a 3-gallon bucket for watering flowers. It is a very easy-to-use manual pump.

I am using this with a rain barrel, so I can fill my buckets faster than gravity allowed me to. It is easy to adjust the length of pipe inside the barrel, and you can attach the filter at the bottom of the pipe no matter how many pieces you use. The only difficulty I had was that the pipe didn't come through my cover high enough to make a sturdy attachment. It worked but the threaded portion was barely engaged so I felt like I had to pump slowly and carefully. So I just got one more piece of piping to allow the threaded part to go higher. That was a peculiarity of my rain barrel though, so I don't think everyone will have the same problem, and it was an easy fix. Now it is very stable, while I pump vigorously, just because it is fun. There is no leakage, I can pump the water quickly and easily. I really like this pump.
