You wont regret it
Style: Facecam 4K
I've been using the Elgato Facecam 4K for a little over a month now, and it's been an incredible upgrade. I've used quite a few Elgato products over the years, and they've all been solid, so I had high expectations. This camera definitely lived up to them. The image quality is outstanding, and I've had several people comment on how clear and professional my video looks during both livestreams and Zoom meetings. It produces a very sharp, natural-looking picture, especially when paired with decent lighting. The Camera Hub software is another huge advantage. There are plenty of settings to fine tune the image exactly how you want it, and once I got everything dialed in, I haven't had to touch it since. It also integrates perfectly with OBS, which made adding it to my streaming setup incredibly easy. Everything has been reliable with no connection issues or random glitches. While it isn't the cheapest webcam on the market, I genuinely think it's worth the price if video quality matters to you. Whether you're streaming, creating content, attending meetings, or just want a webcam that looks significantly better than the average USB camera, this one delivers. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality webcam.

Amazing! It gives DSLR clarity!
Style: Facecam 4K
I couldn't be happier with the Elgato Facecam 4K. It completed my Elgato setup, and everything now works together exactly the way I hoped it would. I'm using it with the Elgato Prompter and Stream Deck Neo, and the integration is seamless. Being able to look directly into the camera while reading my script has made my podcast recordings, YouTube videos, and livestreams feel much more natural and engaging. The Neo makes it easy to control scrolling and recording without breaking my flow. The image quality is outstanding. The jump to true 4K60 is immediately noticeable—sharp detail, excellent color, and smooth motion. Even in less-than-perfect lighting, the camera performs incredibly well. Camera Hub also gives me the control I want over exposure, white balance, and framing, so I can dial in a consistent professional look every time. What really impressed me is how reliable the entire Elgato ecosystem has become. Once everything was set up, it just worked. No constant tweaking or fighting with settings before every recording session. If you're already invested in Elgato products—or you're thinking about building a creator setup—this camera is an easy recommendation. Whether you're streaming, recording podcasts, creating YouTube content, or attending professional video meetings, the Facecam 4K delivers excellent image quality and integrates beautifully with the rest of the Elgato lineup. For me, this has been one of those purchases where I immediately knew I made the right decision. Highly recommended.

Very good product
Style: Facecam 4K
Beautiful picture as long as you have good lighting. Very easy to set up and even easier to use. Quality is great and I like the autofocus. Very good product

Good camera
Style: Facecam 4K
Extremely good quality camera, it has a good auto focus, and It’s relatively easy set up. My issue with it is that this is a desktop webcam yet it runs in usb-c on both ends of the cable that comes with it. So unless you have usb-c on your motherboard or a usb-c to usb-A cable, you’re kinda screwed.

Good enough, software is lacking
Style: Facecam 4K
Decent enough. Got this for work Zoom calls and seems to work fine enough. Gets through the meetings anyways. Quality is pretty standard although the device does feel a little cheap in hand for how large it is. Probably for the best though so it isn’t putting too much weight on the top of my monitor. Brightness seems totally fine for my application and I don’t at all feel like the image is too dark, even at night as long as my face is still lit. The option to adjust FOV is pretty nice. Software is honestly not great. Not nearly as much customization as I’d hope from a $200 webcam designed for streaming. Background blur is far from perfect, especially around hair and looks extremely artificial. I also find the Camera Hub software is constantly freezing up or delaying the video feed on my MacBook Pro M4. All in all it’s not a bad option, don’t really feel like it’s worth the price they’re asking for but I’ll still probably hold onto and continue using it.

If you are buying this for conference calls, avoid this camera like the plague
Style: Facecam 4K
Do not buy this camera unless you have a key light and that key light must be bright. My room / office has a ceiling fan with three 100 watt LED cool white light bulbs and with all that, it was still insufficient to provide enough light to the camera sensor to eliminate all the grain. The image is super grainy because of the small aperture. The aperture at 4.0 is ridiculous I know they selected this to eliminate the autofocus feature but it's a major trade-off. The amount of grain is ridiculous and I have to set the exposure so high because the image is dark even in the well-lit room. I immediately returned it just 30 minutes after installing it and playing with the settings. The last thing I want is to have a key light in my face while I'm trying to type or work on my computer. It would give me a headache within minutes. If you are a content creator and you don't sit in front of the computer on calls all day like I do, then this is perfect for you

Disappointed
Style: Facecam 4K
I have to admit I am disappointed in the image quality from the Facecam 4K. Even in the best lighting situation and reducing what is happening in the background, the image is very grainy. I have used it for making videos over the past couple of months, and I just haven’t ever felt great about the quality. This stinks as the image doesn’t look like a 4k image while taking up 4k video sizes. I expected maybe the quality of a budget smartphone, but it definitely is worse.

True 60fps is a Game Changer!
Style: Facecam 4K
i returned my conf200c whatever to take a chance on this cam and it did not disappoint this is that bare minimum streamer quality im looking for without actually buying a $500 professional camera. It does not come with custom lens like some youtubers eluded to tho, yu can buy your own but i was looking forward to playing with that customization. Still I think i found my camera i can confidently start streaming with. Twitch ~ @Avwits (variety gaming channel) 10/16/26
