Had this jacket for a couple months now. So far so good, everything works fine. It’s very nice to have this when I’m working outside. Just enough to knock the chill off, but not overheat me. The only thing that is aggravating is the battery. Not really any good place to keep it without feeling it. Definitely have to take it out before sitting in the truck. I bought this coat for a friend that is always cold. He was so excited and wore it right away. Then it stopped heating and he was disappointed. I went and read some of the reviews and one said that you need to hold the button down for at least 5 seconds when turning on. This did the trick and he has been warm all winter so far! I got this today with prime shipping. Unpacked and plugged the battery pack up and it did not work. Kept pressing the button. Nothing. Tried unhooking cables. Different packs. I just found it hard to believe Dewalt would sponsor to continuously defective product judging by past reviews. Then I read through the directions. The button must be depressed and held until the blinking red light comes on. Bingo. Turned on and works great. I really believe the people returning these did not hold the button like I originally did. Do not pass on a great product. The soft shell jacket is very nice and comfy ... show more

The battery lasts me quite a while and it's a very quick comfortable heat (3 heat levels to choose from). The fit is a little wide at the waste for a thinner person but going to a small the arms were short. The battery is also very bulky and in an awkward spot, especially for driving.

I normally wear an XL on my jackets, so that’s what ordered for this one. It fits me well, but truthfully I do wish that I had ordered on size smaller, because I bought this jacket to feel the heating elements. Because it’s a little loose (like all my normal jackets), the heating elements aren’t as close to my chest and back as they would be if the jacket were a size smaller. But overall I am still very happy with it. I wear it with the battery (2.0AH) in the back pocket. It’s a little large and cumbersome, but you get used to it. In my climate, the weather doesn’t get THAT cold, so I’ve been wearing this jacket with the temperature in the teens. It does well, battery life is good enough for me (I have a lot of dewalt batteries). This jacket works wonderful when I’m working, but I don’t know if I would trust it to keep me warm when sitting outside, watching a football game for example. Awesome jacket! Really warm, but the battery does sorta make it lopsided but it's easily mitigated by a cellphone in the other side =P also be careful about the extension cord thing because it made me think it was broken for a while until i found it in the back pocket!
