This is the second one of these I've owned. I like to have a spare. This spool is so much easier to load string on than the old kind. DeWalt should start putting these on all their trimmers. Or, maybe they already do. Well worth the money.

We tried some other trimmer head replacements that were not Dewalt brand. None of them have been as nice as this one. We will be reordering this one in the future when needed. We have a Dewalt trimmer and this fit perfectly and works perfectly.

De Walt trimmer head defective in three categories Broken string release Both Opren the container and closing it very difficult. Probably machined imprroperly This is probably why it was half price the broken string release. I used for five minutes tested string. Release did not work. I had to shut down for the day and do something else. Tried to takeoff trimmer head defective had to remove the clip using a screwdriver as it was very tight Tried to put the trimmer head back on would not press on with 75 pounds of pressure or when I tapped it lightly with a hammer with a bit more force I got it to go on Test number two on string release did not work on the quick release. The button is defective and will not release string. Replaced with original equipment and the button did work and released a string ... show more
