Description
This Center Sensor Stud Finder has a detection depth of 1-1/2 in. for wood and metal. Traditional stud sensors locate the edge of the stud, but our new product locates the center for a more efficient read, even when held at an angle. Plus, it is constantly calibrating to save time during use. An audible alert and directional LED arrows clearly notify you once the stud is located and you can easily mark the center of the stud with the center marking channel.

Good price stud finder😁
Hello all! If you know me from other products then you know I have something good to tell you😁Here we have DeWalts stud detector with AC and live wire detection and a detection depth of roughly 1-1/2 in and a little hole for screw or hole marking🙃It's cheap for a good amount of important tech, but the reason I give it a 4 star is mainly a personal reason🙁It's power source is 2 tripe AAA batteries, which isn't a big deal I just personally would rather have a USB-C charging for or something like that😅Other than that it is very light, great quality, nice price and easy to use with just the push of a button😁Although it uses triple AAA batteries😢I still recommend it especially if you're on a tight budget🙃

Stud finder
All ready had one and needed another one for my helper easier than the old fashioned stud finders

Too wide, fragile, not very accurate
This wide, flat, thin plastic detector disappoints its good brand name. First, its excessive width prevents detection of studs close to inner corners. Second, its single red light is not very accurate in detecting studs. A user lost the sense of approximation provided by those multiple-light stud detectors. Third, this detector is made of upper and bottom two thin plastic shells, which give a feeling of falling apart in scanning any rough surface. The only feature earns it back a star is its green AC power line warning light.

DO NOT BUY THIS
Do not let your DeWALT brand loyalty trick you into wasting money on this piece of junk. I dropped and broke my old stud finder and while looking for a replacement, I checked to see if DeWALT made one. I am a loyal DeWALT owner, almost to the point of obsession. I ignored the negative reviews on this item thinking the negative reviews stemmed from the owners not using it properly, as is often the case. I WAS WRONG. This is a complete piece of trash. I even thought it was my fault and actually read the directions, something I seldom do. This stud finder is still TRASH. For some reason, it is also listed as having hazardous chemicals or gases?? This means you can't automatically return it. You have to physically call Amazon to try and return it. Amazon didn't even want it back, they just refunded my money and told me to throw it away. In short, this doesn't accurately find studs in even the simplest of applications. It will detect electrical wires from 2 feet away though, but won't give you an accurate location of them behind drywall. DO NOY BUY THIS. You have been warned.....
