HELL YEAH BROTHER I WILL NEVER DO ANYTHING IN MY LIFE WITHOUT A DRILL EVER AGAIN. This drill and the dewalt drill bits are a game changer. I love this thing. I don’t know how I went 26 years of life without a drill. I am not a mechanic. I’m a single woman in her late 20s coming to terms with the terrible cost of living and the relentless need for independence. This almighty drill does it all. I have yet to have any frustration with this thing after countless uses, dropping it, and letting the poor thing get rained on. It’s extremely comfortable to use even for my tiny toddler hands, and requires minimal effort from me to absolutely knock out its opponents. The batteries charge fast and last long and the whole thing together is not heavy at all. It does look like a bumblebee but actually, let’s get a vote of who actually cares about the color of their drill. Maybe bumblebees are your thing. Dewalt isn’t the cheapest but the brand holds its weight. From a very frugal person, this is definitely worth the cost.

I'm no stranger to cordless drills. I have 3 Hitachi (now Metabo), 1 Makita hammer, and 1 Dewalt 999 Flexvolt hammer. I also have a boatload of corded drills, hammer drills, rotary hammers, and demo hammers. The Hitachi's are 22 years old and running strong with a lot of use. I didn't need this drill but it's smaller and lighter than the others. I inherited a Dewalt Flexvolt 4"/6" angle grinder with 4 Flexvolt batteries worth over $400 so I thought I'd get some Dewalt tools. I wasn't expecting much but I was surprised. The batteries came partially charged but weren't strong enough to do what I needed. Rather than waiting for one to charge I used one of my Flexvolt batteries. This drill will use Flexvolt batteries but I don't think you get the advantage of Flexvolt with this drill. I drilled [8] 9/32" holes through both sides of 1/2" X 1/2" tube steel, 1/16" wall. I used a portable drill press and did not drill pilot holes. I also used vegetable oil as cutting oil because I couldn't find my cutting oil. I laid hard on this drill on all 8 (really 16) holes and it took about 10 seconds to go through one side and another 10 seconds to get through the back side. I did not get any burning smell coming from the drill nor was it hot which really surprised me. I personally think 9/32" holes in steel, even 1/16" wall, are big for this drill but I had no problems. I'll probably use this drill for drywall screws and wood holes no larger than 1/4" but it's good to know it will do larger holes. Might wear out sooner drilling large holes especially paddle bits and hole saws.

I love this drill. I purchased it so I could install rain gutter screens on my… you guessed it… rain gutter s. Lol. Anyway, the job went quick and easy with the help of this drill. I nearly completed the entire house on one battery charge. I had to switch the battery for the last three of the four foot screens. The drill has a feature that cuts the power when sinking screws into solid materials. Excellent! I highly recommend this drill. PS: its lightweight and doesn’t stress out my hands.
