This is the best 4 1/2 circular, cordless saw offered even close to this price range. Used it first time out, very fine saw, easy to use and handle, lots of adjustable(s)-depth and bevel angles, includes the battery and charger. Blade easy to install/change. My first all day job (custom cuts fence) was cutting some 2 x 4s (1 1/2") cut clear through easily when tool stays flush on material; 5/8" cedar fence pickets-no problem. Clean, accurate cuts. Light enough to do fairly good free hand if the work board is secured; I didn't always; obviously better with guide. Tool as or better than expected. Battery and charger working fine. No angle cuts yet; we'll see about cut depth. A bonus I didn't expect: they give you a very spacious DeWalt carry bag which can carry a lot more than just the saw. When cleaning up, and bushed from the job, I put a raft of small tools in there to carry in one trip to garage. The bag is really nice, heavy duty, strong supports, carry lots of other stuff. 40 year + master carpenter says this has been a great little (emphasis on little) tool that has been added to my collection. I have plenty of tools but I needed to widen out the interior frames of some windows in preparation for adding some oak trim. The saw worked well for that application. Easy to adjust depth and light enough to saw a straight clean line while going straight up an existing wall. Since that project I've used it for a few others. It's not the saw that you want to trim a pallet of 2X4s. But for interior trim work and for general-purpose tasks its powerful, light, and easy to use. ... show more

This thing cuts like a champ, and is easy to hold in maneuver, even for a small person like myself. Certainly can replace a traditional circular saw. Battery lasts a long time so you won’t need to stop your work to recharge. Was shipped out and arrived in record time.

Immediate need was to trim edge of clapboards for replacement window trim. Saw is solid and cuts straight and well, much better than the cheap Chinese saws of similar size. Button and safety is well positioned to allow cut upwards or downwards on wall with comfort (something the competition fails miserably at).
