It’s powerful, lightweight, and makes clean, precise cuts with ease. The build quality feels solid, and it handles daily use without any issues. Great balance and comfortable to use for longer jobs.

    • Saw for people who hate saws
Style: Circ Saw
I think it's a great saw for anyone who dislikes power tools -- and particularly the saws -- as much as I do. (Any job I can do with hand tools instead, I will.) The Dewalt's been really good to have around for panels and heftier pieces of wood like studs and floorboards. It's nowhere near as obnoxiously loud and heavy as the old Craftsman saw that I got it to replace, so it doesn't flip my internal panic switches as badly when I have use it. It's pretty light to heft around, so I have a much easier time controlling it. I've been using Diablo blades with it, and they've been simple enough to swap. I also haven't had any issues with adjusting the plate for different angles or blade positions -- the adjustments on this saw are fairly intuitive, so even when it's been a while since I've hauled it out, I haven't had a problem figuring it out again. It didn't come with a case or bag, but the local big-box store had one that fit it. I've also loaned this out to other people when they've been working on stuff around here, and everyone seems to like it (after the initial head-scratching over how much it doesn't weigh). Anyway, it's fine for the ordinary situations you get into when you're messing around with your house. ... show more

    • An excellent saw at a great price
Style: Circ Saw
An excellent saw. Attractively priced, fairly light, well balanced, with a super convenient depth/bevel adjustment, and a rugged aluminum baseplate. The blade guard doesn't hang up on the workpiece and airflow keeps the cut line free of sawdust for accurate cuts. If it's anything like our other DeWalt power tools, we expect years of problem-free service. ... show more

    • Worth it for Building
Style: Circ Saw
This saw works quite well for the busy homeowner. I have used this to cut plywood (both 3/4" and 1/2" faced birch) and all manner of dimensional wood. Plenty of power and it is set up so that it is easy to track the plate for accurate cuts. Good ergonomics on the handle and it is comfortable for long use on long cuts. Wish it was a bit lighter, but it is not overweight at all. Good product for various use. ... show more
