Description

The DEWALT DXST4500BLK-W 4-Foot Tall, 3-Shelf Steel Wire Industrial Storage Rack was designed and engineered to provide heavy-duty, professional level storage. This rack features innovative details that aren't typically found on industrial racks such as dense wire grids that prevent items from falling through, safety straps with weld nuts for ease of assembly, and top caps that protect both you and your items from possible damage. The three industrial metal grids can each support an evenly distributed 1,500 lb. for a total of 4,500 lb. The uprights, crossbeams, and support straps are all made from powder-coated steel. Each shelf has two types of support straps in addition to the crossbeams to prevent them from buckling under pressure. The shelves are adjustable in 2.35-inch increments and the locking pins ensure that each shelf is properly installed.

It’s very sturdy and looks very nice, but will take a bit longer to build if you only follow the awful instructions provided. I recommend Googling the product and watching one of the available YouTube videos, so you can build it in about 30-45 minutes

Easy assembly, too about an hour. The instructions are hard to read due to font size. The clips that hold the rack in are hard to install, also NOT needed as the shelves are reversible. They sit perfectly in the tray and is much better than the walmart shelves. This brand is well built and if you value your rigs like in my picture, then you will end up getting several of these. Im considering the workbench as well since wood desks make terrible computer stations. ... show more

The best engineered rack system I have seen yet. Says he can hold 4,500 pounds divided by three shelf’s, easy to follow instructions. Took me 20 minutes to assemble. Well, structured I love it.

    • Decent storage option with terrible directions.
It could just be me, but the instructions for these shelves are horrible. Not just the tiny print and limited diagram’s, but the wondering in the instructions can be confusing at times. That being said, after some frustration and trial and error I got it together as well as stacked a second shelf on top of it. It seems fairly sturdy (after using the wall mounts/attachments), but not as heavy duty as other similar shelves I’ve seen at Home Depot. But those shelves of course also cost more. So just like with anything, you get what you pay for. If you want a heavy duty shelf, that feels like heaven and earth wont move it, these are not the shelves for you. If you want to store Christmas lights, and other seasonal junk somewhere other than the floor of your garage, these shelves will do the job at a reasonable price. ... show more
