I bought this Dewalt storage rack to store 14 20-liter jerry cans. I am very happy at how sturdy it is. Note that I only installed two of the three shelves, but that is only because of how I am using it. I put one shelf about 10 inches off the floor and the other about 18 inches above that. Each shelf holds 7 Jerry cans (just - have to put the end cans on the shelf first) and because of the positions, the sides also have support bars that block the cans from falling out the sides. I installed the two extra long shelf supports (from the unused shelf) in the back to prevent the cans from falling out the back of the shelf. This rack goes together very well and uses nuts and bolts rather than just tabs and clips - even to keep the long shelf support bars from bowing out under load. This was important to me because I can not risk having any shelf support bar flex out and drop the wire shelf and cans. I have multiple big-box store shelving racks that I also like, but I will say that the Dewalt metal wire shelf is much heavier and has much less flex. For reference, my shelf is holding about 670 pounds of jerry cans and fuel and it is very stable. I am surprised at how well this worked out and I am very happy about that. These shelves really are great, compared to the slightly less expensive BROR series from Ikea these still feel like great value for money. They assemble well and are very strong when built. We ordered a second, and then two more (from Home Depot where they area bit cheaper). The only issue with these kits is the plastic trim pieces which go over some of the joints. both sets arrived with broken parts, clearly some cheapo plastic which gets broken in transit. Even so I 100% recommend these units for the strong look and feel. Once built and filled you won't really notice the missing plastic pieces, but it would be nice if they didn't break. Amazing wanted a star rating for 'Security features'. They're quite big (exactly as bit as the dimensions) and really heavy once I covered them in stuff, so they would be hard to steal. 5 Stars. ... show more

I own a lot of DeWalt tools and have had great experiences with them all. This shelving unit was perfect to hold all my DeWalt power tools and other gear in my workshop. I bought this shelf due to the reviews saying how sturdy it was and those reviews were correct! Each shelf has a 1,500 pound limit and try as I might I don't think I could find anything heavy enough to test that out. Suffice to say, the shelves are strong, don't bend or bow and hold everything I wanted them too. My only complaint about this DeWalt product is how poor the instructions were to put this together. The user guide was printed with super small font and there were a couple pieces that you had to play with to understand how they actually fit. The top brackets for the shelves just drop into their places but it would have been nice to have them fit a bit more snuggly. The paint is gorgeous, however the powder coating seeped into almost all of the pre-built screw holes. I used a drill with the required bit but if you were forced to use the manual Allen wrench, your fingers are going to have a rough time. It took about 2 hours to fully assembled by myself. If you want to save yourself some time, make sure you have a helper. It makes putting the cross bars on easier. Also, make sure you put the shelves where you want them as far as height goes the first time. You will have to disassemble a lot of pieces to move a shelf up or down. Overall, I am very pleased with this thing. It's sturdy, looks great and holds a lot of items. It's almost a show piece in my shop! ... show more

These are really nice sturdy shelves once assembled. It does help to have a second set of hands but not required. They give you an Allen head bit to assemble. Just pop it in a cordless drill. The clips that hold the wire racks down are pain to stretch over the wire rack. This is the worst part of assembly. You can set the shelves at your desired levels. I bought 2 units and stacked them for my car parts then bought a third unit to add on with. They feel nice and sturdy once assembled. It takes about 45 minutes to put together. They look great too. I also zip tied down the center of the wire rack to the support. Over all im very happy with the product and will probably get a few more down the road . ... show more
