I just charged this 5-amp Power Stack today right out of the packaging. When I removed it from the packing it was showing one bar on the battery indicator light. I plugged it into a De Walt DCB1104 4-amp charger and started a timer on my phone. The 80% charge was reached around 51 / 52 minutes. The full charge was reached while I was watch since I knew from the 80% when it should be close. So, it was right on at exactly 1 hour, 4 minutes 31 seconds. If there is anyone out there who is interested as I was. I think that charge time says a lot for both the battery and the charger. I'm very pleased with the De Walt purchases I have made so far.     • Dewalt Batteries are the best.
A little pricey than aftermarket ones. But you save in the long term and proven to be to last a LONG time. Especially the newer XR POWERSTACK versions are incredibly light , small and long lasting. If you have a lot of Dewalt cordless tools like me, dewalt hasn't discontinued this 20V battery mount. This means you can keep all you dewalt batteries and not worry about new tool compatibility. Highly recommend, stay away from aftermarket brands. ... show more

This battery has great power and capacity for the tough jobs such as running my reciprocating saw. I also use it on my DeWalt hand held vacuum cleaner and it works great there too.

    • Don't.......just Don't.
I would give it no stars if I could. It came in a plastic bag, not in a Dewalt package. It worked for a minute, I set my tool down, and then when I picked the tool up again it worked like a almost dead battery. I put another Dewalt batter on my tool and the tool worked. It wasn't a tool problem. I went to return it and decided to try some trouble shooting solutions that were offered up during the process. One worked and I thought, good I don't have to go through the return process. Tested it the next day and the same almost dead battery was still there. Tried a couple other remedies the suggested and still , worked for a minute and then it didn't. So now I wasted all that time and have to still go through the return process. I ignored all the other negative reviews because it was such a good deal. Think twice. Just my opinion from experience ... show more
