These jigsaw and router have already been game-changers for me. I have a 1/2 garage compact shop and always need to step outside to cut or route something to avoid making a mess, and it's 10x easier just walking out with the piece and the tool (and PPE of course!) and knocking it out quickly. As an "old timer" I have to say these new - and amazing - battery powered tools are the real deal: precise, robust, and accurate. All said, couldn't be happier with my choice, but for some reason my battery was faulty with this set. First time it ever happened. I used these tools to help build a deck recently. The jig saw to make the cutouts in trex decking around each handrail post. The router to make grooves in the 1st picture frame deck board. The battery lasted well past 12 handrail post cutouts and also some routing. Battery charges in a about 25 minutes of the included charger. ... show more

I'm a big DeWalt fan, but I'm still impressed with the router in particular. Easy to adjust and operate and well balanced. A flexvolt battery makes it a little top heavy, but still manageable. I've had a Porter Cable router for years and have really liked it but the damn cord seemed to always be in the way. Not an issue with this one! I haven't really put the jigsaw through its paces but I'm sure it's like almost every other piece of DeWalt equipment- quality. This was a really good package price though I didn't need the charger or battery having a dual fast charger and about a dozen other batteries of various sizes. The only thing not to like is not having any sort of case for either tool. I would like to see DeWalt start providing tough system cases for most of their tools. I think that would be a huge selling point. Are you listening Dewalt? ... show more

I have a lot of Dewalt cordless tools. These are just that. Only issue isn't the tools themselves, but the long shipping times. If Amazon wouldn't have been running this kit on sale, I'd have simply bought them locally. Especially with the 3 to4 week delay between when I bought them and when I received them. I saved roughly $100 due to the sale price tho. I purchased these for a project, but I finished it well before they showed up using my old corded router. Buy these tools will get plenty of use as I am a carpenter at my side job. ... show more
