Got one of these Makita 1" staplers back in the summer of 2017. It's been very reliable until an internal part broke in December 2019. Internal striker part butsted and it's back-ordered until February 2020. Guess I'll buy another one and will end up with a backup. Only issue we have is staple jams but it's easily cleared.     • Carful not to buy wrong size Staples or gun, two sizes exist.
Does stapler works great. I use it to hang expanded wire lath and duraroc to stick on cultured stone and then brick. Works great allot better to me than roofing nails. A little more expensive but a better product. Everyone should be careful there are two different size 1 inch crown staples I've noticed. Home Depot sales DeWalt 1in I believe they are 25 mm, they are slightly smaller and do not fit in this gun and cost more. I order my Staples from Amazon I believe they are 26mm they work great. ... show more

We just had a big wind storm and noticed shingles on the front porch, after some time reviewing staplers I chose the Makita 1" Crown Stapler to repair my roof with. It work just as I would expect a stapler should work, never jammed, loading was so easy, my 3 year old grandson could load it! Ran it at 90 psi just as the directions said and she put those 1"x1" crown staples thru the roof tiles and sheeting easy as could be! Great overall quality and performance. My only gripe is the loading slide lock is a little anemic and sticks some, I wish it was a little more skookum.

Ok so 4 stars fort lightweight.... it is light. 1 star for easy to use as I haven't used it yet. Bought it because I needed a one inch wide crown stapler and it's advertised as a one inch stapler. However is not truly a one inch stapler it takes a special staple....26mm instead of the 25mm which is one inch. Again, 1 star for value because I already had a Hitachi stapler with the same issue so basically I bought a replacement for a funky size stapler with another funky one because of a bad description. ... show more

Good price, well constructed. Wish it came with single shot trigger. Very easy to double or even triple shoot staples when you really only need one.
