I bought this stool for a home studio to do lash extensions. First, pulling it out of the box and organizing the parts for assembly was a breeze. Next, I inspected the pieces. The welding on the base with the wheels was done with poor craftsmanship (see photo) however does not affect the function of the stool. There is a chrome “cap” that you lay over it so it is not visible when in use for the most part. I assembled this on my own in less than 15 minutes. The materials of the cushion itself will definitely wear with time however buying a yard of fabric and reupholster I think yourself will be a breeze. The stool itself size wise may not accommodate a larger bum. I’m 5’4 and 155lbs. It’s fine for me, however, just throwing that out there if that could be an issue for you. The hydrolics is the main reason you want to spend $20 extra and not get a $30 stool. The additional is worth it. Lots of different colors to choose from and I think you would be pleased if you purchased it.

Amazing! Thanks DevLon and Amazon great stool. I was looking for a stool for my cherry vanity. Read reviews and spot on. I wanted a dark brown which from this seller was not an option. Another seller had it but the price from this seller was more affordable and l liked the reviews. I purchased the carmel color and its a nice soft gingery brown. Package came quick and the box was a good solid strong box. The chair was packed and protected very well. Easy to assemble. I am 5'1 and just touch the floor. Glides across carpet with no issue. This stool is so solid yet moves flawlessly. High recommend and I see why the medical field use and recommend. The back hits just right at lower back which being short thought that would be an issue for me but spot on. The chair swivels raises lowers and the seat is very comfortable great purchase. The bottom is so shiny pretty and feet and wheels are nice and compact. I will be using it in the kitchen as well at counter for cooking and than I can raise it high yea. Buy it you will love it and good price for us on a budget

TL;DR: Great overall, but seat only moderately cushy and back lip too small to provide any support. For the price, this chair is pretty good. It's compact, stylish, easy to assemble, has nice PU leather, the lift works well. Overall I am very satisfied. Two things about it are slightly disappointing, though, after reading other reviews. 1) The cushion isn't as soft as I expected; it's not a hard seat by any means, but it's not cushy either. I sit on it 6-7 hours per day and by the end of the day I'm tempted to switch it out for my old chair that doesn't fit at the desk but has more padding. And 2) The back lip doesn't do anything but look cool and provide a handle to move the chair under my butt so I can sit down. It hugs my cheeks, but I don't see how that can provide any "support."

Made of good quality materials, comfy, and having that small support at the back makes a BIG difference in helping you feel balanced and secure. I use this for bedside care, for my son who has medical needs, and I and all our home nurses love it. The only drawback is that you really have to be heavy (adult size) to make the seat go down using the hydraulic lever. When the kids need to use this stool, they can't lower it by themselves because they're just too light. Also the silver piece at the bottom where the legs meet the center pole is made of a cheap plastic - they should make it out of chrome metal like every other piece!

This chair is very small. Maybe okay for a vanity chair, not much more. I am small, not much security or comfort. I kept rather deal with returning. Disappointed. I had plans for this chair. This chair is cute, but I was looking for something useful.

2/14/2015 - I ordered a Black seat for guitar playing, received a Pink one, the Invoice clearly shows Black, and "Black" is circled in red ink by who ever packed it. I asked my daughter if she wanted it to replace a pink bean bag chair in her room, she wanted it, so I decided to keep it and was going to order another one in BLACK again. I sent a message off to NorthWest about it with pictures. I started putting it together, the base support holes on the seat do not line up no matter how many ways you try to rotate the support plate. See PIctures. I'm sending it BACK !! What a waste of my time and effort, now I have to wrap everything backup and ship the damn thing back. So much for supporting USA businesses.

I recently redid my bathroom and had a vanity built. I had a hard time finding a stool to fit. The counter size height was too high, it wouldn't fit in the opening because of the drawer. A normal chair was way too low. I saw this adjustable stool and ordered it and it is perfect. I can now adjust it to the height that works for me and it is out of the way when it is not in use.. It only took a couple of minutes to put it together. The quality is very good and the look of it fit in with my "spa" look bathroom. I recommend it. review image

This took maybe 5 minutes to set up-instructions were clear and no additional tools were needed. I ordered the brown because it was $30 less than the other colors and I am happy with the color. It is a nice dark brown. The height range is good (see photos, sorry about the chewed up door...). Note that this is not for the larger rumped sitter. I purchased this because my office chair is too deep and this seat will not put pressure behind by knees. The seat is firm and IT DOES NOT SMELL LIKE PLASTIC/PETROLEUM. Very smooth operation going up and down. Casters are plastic and work well on hardwood and low carpet. It didn't scare the dog either.
