Ugh, it was such a pain in the butt to put together. I still have to figure out the screw placement for the file drawer, 🙄 it's just sitting there and I look at it with a big sigh. It takes time for sure. The bottom of the drawers are super flimsy, im afraid to put anything mildly heavy in them. The whole thing rocks if I try to handle it to roughly. It looks ok. you get what you pay for. I'm still going to use it. I'm dreading the other one I bought, hopefully it will be an easy assembly. I think I will connect the peices with wood glue to make it more durable. Hope that works. ... show more

I bought this to store my daughters art supplies (crayons, markers, glue, coloring books/pads, etc) and just random living room stuff that always seems to not have a place. Very nice, sturdy shelves and love the "wood" finish. My only complaint is I wish the bottom drawer had high sides as stuff tends to fall out of them since they're made for files, and putting the drawers together made me rethink life decisions! I have experience with Devaise's products, including assembling them for my use, my family's use, and my friends' use. They are nothing "Fancy", but they perform their respective tasks quite well. They look good, and if cared for properly, should last quite a while. I am disabled and have multiple medical conditions including loss of grip strength due to nerve damage. Assembly, for the most part, is straightforward and can be accomplished by most people. Those of us with issues like mine will take a much longer time to assemble, but it is worth the effort. ... show more

The cabinet is pretty good; however, you need intermittent to advanced assembly skills. Directions are not necessarily progressive so if you don’t assemble such products regularly you should study carefully each step before moving to the next. Lay out all parts before you begin. Over all I give the piece good marks for fit and finish. Assembly could have been easier but once it's completed you have a good piece of furniture. Good: Good looking sturdy unit. Plenty of extra hardware provided. Well packed and protected for shipping. Assembly instructions were good and easy to follow. Bad: Assembly was not as easy as it should have been. The capture bolts are poorly cast and there was considerable difficulty getting them to capture the actual posts which left a couple just not as secure as I would have liked. The dowel pins were a bit of a pain to seat and caused poor fit until fiddled with. I've put together dozens of this type of furniture over the years and this piece was reminiscent of the assembly quality 20-years ago.
