It’s a great product. I am using it a lot during my hiking and trekking. So far no issues. No plastic flavor or leakage. It’s really easy to open and close it. The plastic sealant slides easily. The tube is a little bit rigid but it’s not a big deal.

Easy to fill. No spillage. Everything worked properly. I read reviews and fully intended to do what some people suggested and make that concoction to get the plastic taste out.. but I didn’t. Never found the time to do all of that. So... I added lemons to our grocery list for base camp—tbh, that’s my preferred method for cleaning something I’m gonna drink out of on the trail. Just be sure you follow your bear precautions. Anywho, I of course didn’t have a proper lemon strainer and dropped SO many seeds in this thing. I was so certain that they would end up getting stuck in the base of the straw, but they NEVER did! I drank the bladder dry, just about every single drop of water, and then just scooped out the seeds from the bottom corner and rolled on. That’s five stars in my book! Not so sure they thought that part out—keeping lemon seeds out of the straw—but it did that job well! As for the plastic taste, I’m sure there are more discerning palates out there but, for me, one lemon in the whole 3 liters and I went straight to drinking with no problemo🤙 ... show more

I'm not sure if it was just the one I ordered, but the bladder I received was covered in some sort of very tacky grease. Took a very long to clean off. Buyer beware.

    • Great bladder... Hard to fit in Deuter backpack
Owned for 2 years or so. Love that it is easy to fill and clean, hate that it is a pain to put it in the Deuter 20 lite backpack. The hole at the bottom is too low and you have to fight to get it in. (Try refilling and inserting midday with cold numb hands) I also have the insulation case for the bladder and tube which make it useful for skiing, but again hard to fit. Maybe the engineers at deuter should talk among themselves when designing products. ... show more

I have an older Deuter it's called a Cross Bike, and I couldn't find any current reference to it. Exceptionally versatile and well constructed, def a keeper current equivalent not cheap! So I measured the compartment and bought this. Very happy. No taste, easy to clean and easy to fill with ice and water, even while in the pack. Tube disconnects without leaking the bag, bite valve works well. I also have a Source pack I bought direct from Israel a few years back, the bag is identical. I think I'm set for life. ... show more

My water doesn't taste funny inside this bladder. I use this with my deuter backpack for my motorcycle and other trips such as hiking. It's lightweight and it works effortlessly to deliver water. Highly recommend this product! Easy to clean and dry out after use also.
