2011 silverado 6.2l moderate to heavy towing, some racing Brakes fit and finish very well. Not overly grippy compared to stock but still combined with powers too fronts there is a dramatic improvement generally. Good for the value so far at 1,300 miles on them, no much dust either will update later Tools needed : -22mm socket -impact -10mm or 12mm box wrench -10mm or 12mm socket -driver/ratchet -ceramic brake grease -rtv silicone sealant -c-clamp for piston compression -flat blade to adjust drums down or up for removal/install Notes: -Remove pins and use included replacement pin boots. -Clean pins well -Grease pins in ceramic purple high temp grease -use old pad to set on piston and press c-clamp against that -on new pads apply high temp rtv to the back side of the pad to eliminate squeaking on any brakes. It will dry and hold pads in place against piston and fingers for life of pad. Do not apply on stoping surface -clean the rotors with brake cleaner before install as they're coated in a thin sticky grease for shipping ... show more

2008 LTZ Vortex Max 6.0L 4x4 Rear brake and rotor set from Detroit Axle. This is the first time using Detroit Axle for my brake needs. A QUALITY PRODUCT that came with everything I needed for my rear brake job. Packaging was great, shipping fast and I love the extras that were provided ! IE: can of brake kleen and brake fluid. Brakes are nice and true,no pulsations,no brake squeal and very little dust. The price $$ was awesome. I saved alot from Detroit Axle . I would of paid alot more from my usual brand Po$×& St&! installed in about 30min on 2007 Tahoe , the price is reasonable for an upgrade. Drilled and slotted rotors on a heavy vehicle with normal conditions stop all abnormal wear hazards, Warpage, pulsating, brake fade. all gone after installing similar on front and then these on the rear.

    • Quality but no directions
So if you are a handy person this is an easy job and the parts are quality made! The only problem was there were no directions for the do-it-yourself person. So while it was a task and I did my rear brakes in under 2 hours BUT without install directions or the rotors labelled L/R I managed to put these on the wrong sides so the fins were backwards, it was an easy fix, another hour. THEN I found a video on YouTube so maybe they should put that in or on the boxes? ... show more

Order these to replace my rear rotors on my 2008 Tahoe. UPS messed up the order and for whatever returned them before delivery. I called the support number for Detroit and they IMMEDIATELY sent me a replacement order, said they for some reason they had several orders that UPS returned without reason! Everything thing fit perfect and easy! Will update later after I put more miles on them, but so far braking is better and no fade. Thanks, Detroit Axle! ... show more

They've been on my truck for about a month. Pros: Like that it's packaged as a kit - 2 rotors, 4 pads, clips, small grease packet, and fluids (cleaner and brake fluid) to do the full job. Rotors look robust and zinc-plating corrosion treatment seems good. Good value, about half the cost of a dealer job for OE pads/rotors, and the OEs are solid discs while these are drilled and slotted. Perform as expected -- they stop the truck. Cons: Some cosmetic blemishes (shipping maybe?) Squeak and squeal under braking -- stops fine, just noisy on 60%-ish of stops. This may bother some more than others. Hooks on the edges of the pad backing plates needed a minor bit of time on the grinding wheel to fit with the clips - a few mil only - so the pads could slide without binding. ... show more

This kit is unmatched. Not only did I get the rotors and pads, they included brake fluid, brake cleaner, and gloves. I completed my rear end brake job within 2 hours with doing one wheel at a time. The quality is amazing. I did this job on a tight budget with fingers crossed. Blown away with how much this could have cost me. It's unreal how easily these parts were to throw in. ... show more

Not recommended at all after installing the brakes has a noise which is only removed by replacing to new brakes coz quality is bad hard as per my mechanic what a waste of time even contacted the customer not a great respond
