I've had very good luck with Detroit axle on all my vehicles. The machining on the rotors is a 9/10. There are some sharp edges on them that I haven't experienced with other brands. Some people questioned the flat spots on the rotors. That is for balancing purposes, almost every rotor I've seen uses that as a way to balance the rotor. The ceramic pads seem ok. They're no Wagner thermoquiets but I haven't had any squealing. The rear pads had a rubber strip painted on the face of the pad. This has to be removed. There is a small sticker in the box saying to rub the pad on concrete to remove it before install. My biggest complaint is that the front pads didnt come with new hardware but the rears did. $13 at O'Reilly. They included brake clean and DOT 3 brake fluid which was cool. Make sure to clean the rotor first because they ship them covered in oil to prevent rusting. I've only had them on for a few days so I'll update if they start squealing. Rotors alone for my Ram cost more than this whole kit. Plus these are manufactured 20 mins from my house! Overall a great product. The drilled holes and slots were nicely done, although the edges of the rotor were a little rough. Nothing that effects the operation of the brakes but just something that could be done better. ... show more

    • These Pads squeal, nothing helps stop it

I installed the pads and rotors on a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4. Easy to install. Did the break in. No issues. Stopping power is fine. 3 days later the squealing started. You don't notice it during normal speeds and stopping. But if you get caught in stop and go traffic or go through a drive through....the squeal shows up so loud that you think your eardrums will bleed. I bought CNC disk quiet. applied that to the brakes and it quieted them for 1 day. The squeal was still there in that day, but not crazy loud. After a day it was back. I'm going to buy new pads from another manufacturer. Save your money and get something else. ... show more
