    • Brakes like it should. Dust shields may need adjusting if grinding heard.
I was reluctant to order these Detroit Axle drilled and slotted rotors and brakes for my 2016 Chevy Equinox AWD because of some reviewers complaining of a grinding sound but my husband said it is a good brand and it was a good price so I ordered them anyway. After he installed them there was grinding from the front but it isn't the brakes themselves. Maybe the front rotors are a little thicker than the factory rotors or maybe not all dust shields are in the exact same position but my husband knocked the dust shields back a little so they were no longer rubbing when the rotor turned. After that adjustment, the brakes and rotors are no longer making a grinding sound. It was only happening in the front because there are no dust shields on the back. I have not had them long but so far I am happy with them and the way they feel. They work as they should. The only thing I didn't like is that the boxes they came in were in horrible shape but the parts themselves were unharmed. ... show more

These fit my 2012 Terrain perfectly. No issues at all. Was impressed with the whole kit which included brake fluid, brake cleaner and grease for the pads. Easiest brake job ever. I'm a shade tree mechanic and would recommend this kit to anyone.

    • Excellent OEM replacement for the money.
Purchased these for my wife's 2014 Chevy Equinox LT. Replaced the front one weekend and the rear the next. Very simple 👌. Comes with all the grease and parts needed except bolts if you want to replace that hardware you'll have to buy that separate. Only two downfalls, one is how they package everything. Rear rotors were with the front brake pads and front rotors with the rear brake pads. Minor detail when you can just visually pair them up. All hardware worked perfectly. Other downfall is the brake dust on the rims. Considerably more then stock. Stopping power was noticeably more. Worked perfect and no idiot lights from the abs or anything like that. Great product at an excellent value. No noise or anything. If your looking for a great OEM replacement this is a good one. So far so good. I'll update this a month from now to let y'all know how the hardware is doing. **Update** Rotors and pads are excellent. They do make a little more noise than stock ones as well as more brake dust on the rims but that's expected. Wash the rims and it's all good. Great product and works excellent. Stopping distance was noticeable. **Update**, 4/18/22 front set is super loud. Brakes work great except the front pads I think are defective since right side has a slight scrape in rotor. Contacted seller and let's see what happens when reinstalled with replacement rotors and pads. Detroit did send an email (4-19-22) and sent out the front rotors. I did have to pay the shipping but I can live with that. Worked out that way since I have already purchased another set of pads and the rotors are the most expensive. They stop very well. They fit perfectly. They look good. I have had them on another vehicle for a long time. They don’t rust like others do. They leave dust on rims until they break in, but nearer rust. They are a great value delivered right to your door.

Don’t worry s out the great price this kit is solid. Been using for 2 months and it’s a dramatic upgrade. No more wavy braking and quicker braking. Kit was complete with hardware, pads, rotors fit front snd rear. I have no Brake noise , I added no grease or brake quiet . Don’t have excess brake dust after first couple days.
