I purchased the slotted and drilled rotor and pad set. Quality pads and rotors for the money, installed with no issues. Impressed by the anti-rust coating on rotors. With the slotted and drilled rotor, there is a decent hum when getting on the brakes compared to a solid rotor. The harder lead in, the louder they are. Breaking them in it got quieter- easy neighborhood stops the noise is not noticeable, but a 40-50mph stop, you will hear it. Keep that in mind!! If you don't need the extra cooling and just doing standard driving, or prefer silent- I'd go with the solid rotors for sure! To me, the hum of the slotted and drilled is worth the noise. These were for my work car which I drive a ton in all kinds of traffic, so it's worth the trade off. I've gotten on the brakes HARD many times and no fade or warping experienced. They stop great. I have about 600 miles on the set. ... show more

I was worried about fit and quality (given the price). So far these rock! The pads came with some rubbery looking crap on the side that touches rotor... after some research, apparently it's intended to help the pads and rotor break-in. Way way cheaper than local purchase, and the drilled/slotted rotors may help with the recurring warp that develops on these cars on the front brakes. ... show more

I drive a 2005 Corolla and dreaded replacing the front brakes, because I knew the rotors were shot. For very little money, I replaced pads and rotors with these cool-running vented rotors. They make a little noise when stopping but all drilled or slotted rotors do, at least till break in. I will buy from these folks again. ... show more

I drive over 100 miles a day, 7 days a week and use the breaks alot, I have noticed I do not have to replace the pads as offten and the rotors have held up greak so far. Had probably close to a year now with no problems. Detroit axle makes great products at a good price. I order everything I can that I need from them. Everything looked tip top and looking organized as well as no dents or unwanted grooves on anything. (Seems to be a problem for me when I get parts shipped from other company’s) easy installation I had no problems what so ever. I see some people may have problems especially with not having the ability to put your new brake pads and such back onto your brake disc. You just have to remember to press the hydraulic press down with a C- clamp until the seal is flush or the press is fully flush with the outer wall housing of the hydraulic press. That way you can actually put it back on. Otherwise as long as you put everything on correctly you should be good to go. That’s just a common mistake I notice. If you have no clue what to do there’s always YouTube :).But all in all great product and my car stops very quickly. Pontiac Vibe GT 2005. ... show more

It fits perfectly. I was worried after reading other comments. But i did not have any issues installing. Only thing i notice is a faint humming when braking. Not sure if that is normal.

I seem to have to replace pads and rotors once a year. Always end up warped. First time trying slotted rotors. Everything fit fine, went together easily. Now time will tell. Happy to not hear the metal on metal grinding any more and to no longer have the front end of the car shake when I stop. Great price. ... show more
