I was seriously pleased by the brake kit for my Venza. The major parts fit perfectly. All pad clips were included, along with a can of cleaner and appropriate lubricant. Everything boxed and tightly packaged in a large shipping box. The only thing that would have been nice to have been added was the 6x30mm bolts needed to easily break the rotors loose from the hub. Those were just a minor side trip, easily taken care of. Instructions concerning the bolts were also in the box. As for performance, I had gotten little to no brake dust so far, and my first heavy breaking session, dive bombing off an Interstate highway exit on a classic, old school cloverleaf intersection of two interstates onto a 25 mph ramp was smooth as silk, no noise, grabbing or other problem, just perfect, strong braking like expected. I found that while some products from Detroit Axle were not very highly rated, this kit was very highly rated, and I fully agree. For an aftermarket product for Toyota, it is an excellent buy, and the price can't be beat for the value. ... show more

This brake kit from Detroit was outstanding. He had everything that was supposed to be in there, but something extra it had the brake cleaning spray and the lubrication was also included. You just need a pair of hands to put them on. I am well pleased with these they’re on my car right now and I’m driving and it’s perfect. The mechanic thought it was an excellent kit and he was surprised that all the stuff that was inside the kit buy it is worth the money. The quality is excellent. The fit was on point. This works great for my mazda 6, one small thing is the grease included is not enough... a very small pack. Had to uber to Oreilly real quick for grease separately. Worked great though.

    • Don't Buy - Product is Poor Quality, Warranty is Worse

I purchased these brakes thinking that a 4/5 star was trustworthy and knowing that Detroit Axle has a decent reputation, based on research. I received the brakes and the kit came with everything I needed. Installation was pretty standard for brakes and everything went smoothly. About 1,000 miles after installing the brakes, I started to notice how worn down the rotors were becoming (already!) and how much brake dust was coming from the pads. After 2,000 miles, the brakes are super loud while stopping and now make a metal grinding noise. I spoke to their support and they said in order to claim warranty, I would have to go to a mechanic and have them confirm the issue. I took time out of my day and took the vehicle to the dealership. The dealership confirmed that there were groves already and that they recommend replacing the rotors and pads. After getting their diagnosis, I submitted it to Detroit Axle support and didn't hear anything back after 2 days. I decided to call their support line and was on hold for a while before getting through. They reviewed the documentation that I sent over and said that they would be able to process the warranty claim. The warranty claim covers their parts but does not cover shipping. So in order for me to get a replacement, I would have had to pay $120 in shipping to receive the new rotors and pads. The original kit was $190. Support said they would give me a deal and take $10 off, big whoop. Support also said that since these brakes were installed, they are ineligible for a return. Overall, I have had a terrible experience with the product and the company. I highly suggest staying away from this product. There are other reviews that have similar experiences and I guarantee you will have the same if you purchase them. ... show more
