This brake kit for my Jeep JKU was excellent. It came with all the necessary parts, along with enough brake cleaner to properly clean and prep all the rotors, and enough brake fluid to complete the full bleeding process at the end. Everything needed for the install was included, which made the job straightforward. This was a brand new install, but I have used Detroit Axle parts on other vehicles in the past and have always been satisfied with their performance. The brakes now work so well on my Jeep JKU that if you are not careful, it will put you into the dashboard. The stopping power is impressive, especially considering the price point. I am grateful for the quality of parts they provide at an affordable price. As a side note, some reviewers mention squeaking. In my experience, that is most likely due to installation issues, such as improperly seated clips or failing to apply grease correctly to both the guide pins and the brake pad tabs where they contact the calipers. Overall, I am extremely satisfied and will continue to use their products. This kit is a solid, affordable alternative to much more expensive options.

I was genuinely impressed by this Detroit Axle rear brake pad set—especially for the price. The pads offer an exact OE fit, matching the factory mount points perfectly without any fuss or adjustment needed. Installing them was straightforward, and they seated just like the originals. One pleasant surprise: the kit also includes brake grease, a thoughtful touch that most other brands skip. Having that grease on hand made lubing the slider pins and backing plate so much easier and cleaner—not to mention it likely helps reduce noise and promote smoother pad movement right from the get-go. Performance-wise, the initial pedal response was slightly grabby—typical for new ceramic pads—but after a gentle bedding-in run, the braking felt solid, smooth, and confident. Detroit Axle’s premium ceramic pad formulation delivers strong bite without being overly harsh. Overall, this is a standout value: precise OE alignment, quality materials, and the added bonus of grease make this kit a great pick for anyone wanting quality without overpaying.

Exceeded expectations. Car drives so much smoother. I believe one or two of my front rotors were warped given the shake my vehicle had. Changing rotors and pads was a pretty straightforward experience it totaled me around 3 hours having ran into issues with caliper removal. Breaking those brackets is going to require leverage, as the factory ones have lock tight in the thread. I used a small ratchet, with a copper pipe that barely fit under the vehicle and gave me about 3 inches to move to break the bolts. On the rear I had to add a galvanized pipe over the copper one for more leverage. The rear are harder to do. But the product is high quality. The pads make more dust than I would like, but they work for their purpose and do well. I can stop on a dime from 60 to 0 in a matter of a few feet. Good product!

These rotors and pads work great and the drilled and slotted rotor not only work really well but look great. The only negative is the brake hardware that comes with the kit. They were not sized right and were scraping against the rotors so I had to buy an aftermarket kit to replace the ones that came with the brake kit.
