Ease of installation: I did not even need to hire any labor for installation of this break and rotor kit! I am a woman, and my father taught me how to change this kit on different model cars in the past. Luckily he helped me change my brakes and rotors on my 2005 Cadillac CTS 3.6L! So this was a breeze! I finished in an hour or less with all the correct equipment and tools. The price is absolutely worth it for needing to spend no other money than just this kit. It includes everything you need to change the parts behind all 4 of the tires. All the other kits I viewed on the shopping page were the same price and did not include all 4 breaks and rotors. They usually sold 5 and 5 pieces separately. (10 pieces needed total—6 breaks & 4 rotors. I didn't need to hire anyone, didn't need to buy anything else needed to perform the install, didn't need to go out of my way to acquire super specific tools, and I didn't need to go anywhere to have this entire setup delivered to my front door and change out the old parts the same day of receiving the new!!!! I still have this kit applied to my Cadillac, and it is working perfectly still. I will be using this company for purchasing future parts online. This kit was great, they look very good, comes with everything you need(almost see below) Does not feel cheap these have the heft you'd expect from new rotors I am not sure on the pads they feel just fine we'll see how they last nice that it comes with brake cleaner and brake fluid Defiantly a good value for your money everything fit just fine Braking was better then before (but did a lot of work struts and shocks as well) what to know if your car is like mine and has the screws holding on the rotors this kit was not come with new screws. Also be prepared with a drill and extraction set for said screws. Out of the 8 screws on my rotors only one would break loose on its own the others was drilled and/or extracted. Honestly once together the screws are not even needed but if you want them be sure to buy them ahead of time. what would have been nice would be some grease for everything. I did have one package of grease in the rear pads (none in the front) but that packet would not have been enough. But I do have a bottle of grease just for this purpose.

This is the first time I’ve tried Detroit Axle for pads and rotors, my son needed a full set on his car after I had to explain to him that the persistent screeching he was hearing while braking is because he was down to bare metal on his front two brakes. He’s still learning things, so all good. I was very impressed with the cut and quality of the rotors when I opened the box and got them ready for installing. The spend the effort on finish, which was nice, because for the price range I expected rough edges or ragged cuts. None of that to be found here. Fit was perfect, the clips and pads snapped into all four of the calipers with ease. I’ll admit I didn’t use the anti seize grease they send, mainly because it comes in the form of two Taco Bell sauce size packets, so I tossed them and used my own can that has a built in brush. Other than that, everything was fine, a quick trip around the block and they grab fine, no squeaks, no rattle and no noise. It was glorious watching my son almost go through the windshield the first time he stepped on the brakes and they worked properly. It’s rained consistently for the last three days straight, and I admit I’m a bit jealous. My son’s rotors don’t oxidize nearly as quickly as the slotted and drilled high end rotors I have on my car that I got from a competitor. The oxidation on mine disappears quickly with use, but these rotors don’t seem to oxidize at all. That’s pretty nice. I do wish they sent gloves, Most of the sets I’ve purchased, granted at a higher price point, come with gloves and all the other do dads and things you need to mess with brakes, this came with brake fluid, the Taco Bell packets of anti seize and a can of aerosol brake cleaner, which is enough, so my complaint is only a minor one to point out you’ll have to supply your own gloves. Five stars anyway for the quality, fit and functionality, and I’ll for sure consider these for when my wife’s rotors and brakes need to be replaced, probably in the next year or two.
