I installed these rotors and pad on my wife's RAV4. They do the trick, but it's only been a few months and all the non-brake surfaces are completely covered in rust. It's unsightly. I will probably take them off and clean them up and paint the non-brake areas when I get the time. Meanwhile, the stock rotors that these replaced never showed this much rust. ... show more

    • Amazon's Website Says the Brakes Fit, They Dont
Amazon's website said the brakes will fit my RAV4. The brakes didnt. Apparently the 3rd seat option in some RAV4s is the issue, but Amazon/Detroit Axle are not on the same page. Amazon tried to wiggle out of responsibility and said because Detroit Axle is a 3rd Party, just using Amazon for advertising, Amazon has limited ability to fix the problem. Detroit Axle also tried to wiggle out of responsibility by reiterating their 30-day policy for returns but eventually agreed the amazon website is misleading and will be taking back the brakes and send out a replacement. For their error, my car sits in the garage for weeks, I am carless, I am asked to pay a bloated return shipping fee, and wait a few more weeks while I ship it back the old brakes, they inspect them, and replace the order with brakes that actually fit. Nice all-in-one kit. Good quality. Make sure you are getting the correct diameter front rotors for your RAV4, there are two diameters.
