Scion TC 2006 old rotors were getting significant rust build up on the edges and some wearing unevenly, leading to faster brake pad wear and annoying scraping noises after heavy breaking. I normally only swap out the worse looking rotor but not this time. I installed this entire Detroit Axle brake set. It got rid of all the noise and made a huge difference for brake feel and performance. Also made sure to bleed the brake lines properly. Didn't expect much for this low priced bundle. If I bought comparable rotors and brake pads separately at a chain auto parts store I'd be paying almost double. Even at this price point these rotors come drilled and slotted and already seem much more rust resistant after rain. Whatever gives it the chrome color is super fresh looking and I'm guessing enhances durability. This all equates to less chance of rust rot/uneven wear or warping from excessive heat build up. Only been a month but so far so good. Very pleasantly surprised. I see no reason to buy lower quality store brands if these hold up. And I'd give another star if I could for the super fast via FedEx delivery straight from Detroit.

I put in all info asked , but said check to see if your brakes have center rattle clips , I feel most people don't want to take the trouble to take tire off , take caliber off , remove old brake pad off to check then put back together to order then do this all over again . If I am not mistaken , the difference is if it is rear wheel drive or 4 wheel drive , they don't offer that info and only affects rear brake pads. If like me , not to much of a problem , kit came with 4 wheel drive pads which where about 1/2 inch to long and new clips or slides don't work , just had to go get ceramic pads for rear at a local auto parts store for 2 wheel drive and still saved approx 1/2 the total amount of money over getting regular new rotors and pads from local parts store. Other than that , rotors and pads so far are great , very nice finish on drilled and slotted rotors , great stopping and no noise and will see if the drilled and slotted rotors cut down on heat and brake dust .

The rotors and pads fit without issues on my dually. I did have an independent mechanic shop do the install though as I didn't want to fool with seals/pulling rear axles, etc. They stop well, and weller in emergency when ABS is kicking in, but not grabby, strong, abrupt as others may feel. I have around 4K miles on them now and noticed on drive back from Fayetteville, AR to Turtletown, TN, in some (mostly) stop & (some) go traffic at the infamous north of Chattanooga/Lake Nickajack I-24 eastbound section, that there was some squealing from the pads. However I was also told at install time by mechanic and another customer who'd had multiple sets of ceramic pads (and from this same vendor!) that squeaks/squeals are normal even when broken in properly. FWIW, I haven't gotten them hot enough to determine any fading nor towed heavy load yet either. They do produce less brake dust for my fellow neatniks. Terrific company that's easy to work. They didn't bat an eye on my return of Front-only parts when a couple days after purchasing them the Front/Rear combo was on sale. It was all handled efficiently and with understanding, no questions asked. Overall these are stout/heavy parts and this is a great, great deal compared to OEM that I would do again.

I purchased this Detroit Axle brake kit for my 2010 Chevrolet Malibu, and overall I was happy with the product quality — the rotors and brake pads themselves looked well-made and felt solid. Unfortunately, they did not fit my vehicle as expected, so I wasn’t able to install or use them. I’m giving the kit 4 stars because the parts appeared good and well-constructed, and I know Detroit Axle is generally a reputable brand. The only issue was the fitment for my specific application which could be a compatibility problem for my exact model year or trim.
