I finally purchased this item. I love it. I hesitated a long while because of the price. Upon receiving, I immediately ripped the cushion off, as planned, so that I can place a planter on top. To my delight, it is only velcroed on. Easy. My only criticism is that the photo shows a glossier finish. But I can easily work with this piece. It is surprisingly heavy, which is good as far as I’m concerned. Very stable. I will probably touch it up with some colored paint as I cannot resist doing so to a lot of items. 😊. Charming item. It looks really nice and seems to be good quality but it's 13.5 inches from elephant trunk to elephant trunk. The cushion might be 9 inches. I wear a size 14US and can only fit one foot at a time
