This was just about exactly what we were looking for. We've changed out all our fixtures in our home to the bronze finish with the white swirly globe, so this matches great, and the quality seems typical of this price point (which is fine with me). My only complaint is due to the inherent wide nature of this item (vs. the small round globe we replaced), it makes mounting it more challenging. We put these in a hall, so it needs to be mounted it in such a way that the bulb faces the long way of the hall, vs. to one side or the other. The first one I mounted leaving the old bracket in place (since the screws were the same distance apart), and the single bulb shines to one side of the hall, rather than straight down like the previous fixture. It now permanently looks as though this fixture should have 2 bulbs, and one is just burned out. Not a huge deal, if you don't mind re-doing the entire mounting bracket (or if you get lucky and it's facing the way you need it to). So, one of the 3 hallway fixtures looks a little funny. The other 2 look great, since we got lucky with the existing mounts on the other two. Too lazy to fix the odd one out... I just keep saying "nobody will look up enough to notice" except me of course. ... show more

Purchased these to replace some cheesy Gold Plated ceiling lights. The glass is frosted with an attractive pattern as apposed to the glossy white style. Only issue I ran into was I needed to use a smaller bulb so that the glob portion didn't have a bright white spot where the bulb came close to one side. ... show more

This is a well made light fixture but we had to return it because of the color. It is so dark that it looks black and didn't match the other oil rubbed bronze hardware and lights we have in our home. We didn't install it because of the color so can't rate the ease of installment. We were disappointed that it didn't work for us because it is good quality and the swirled glass globe is very stylish. We wrote a review so that others who are looking for a brown bronze base (vs almost black) could consider this before purchasing. ... show more

Warning: Mine was not as pictured. This is painted to look like rubbed bronzed and the item had a pink line painted around it that up close is quite annoying but luckily a little hard to notice on the ceiling. Would not have bought if I had known they would use pink.
