Update: I've been using this product for almost 6 weeks and I am so blessed to be able to have this product! The crusts on my scalp and flakes have continued to reduce and are barely there at all! This has given me a way to treat my dandruff daily with a moisturizing curl-safe product while also cutting down on shampoo. So pleased! Also the method of storing upside down and removing the cap to dispense has been so easy and works just fine. Original review: I have a severe form of dandruff called seborrheic dermatitis. Due to having very dry, curly hair I quit shampooing my hair regularly and use this conditioner instead. It's helping my seborrheic dermatitis a lot, it took a while but after two and a half weeks my flakes are hugely reduced and the crust on my scalp is almost totally gone. The bottle is slightly squeezable however the product is so thick it's hard to squeeze out as others have said. I store it upside down which is easy to do due to the shape of the bottle, and when I use it I simply unscrew the cap and squeeze some into my hand. It's very easy to do this way and I don't have to cut the bottle open or anything, which I was afraid I'd have to do. It's hard to find dandruff conditioners, especially ones that comply with Curly Girl Method like this one does, so I'm very grateful for it and have always thought derma e makes great products. I have used DermaE Scalp Relief shampoo daily for years because it keeps my scalp healthy like no other shampoo I ever used. And I’ve tried them all for fifty plus years after being diagnosed with psoriasis as an adolescent. But I never tried the accompanying conditioner until I ordered it online by mistake thinking I was ordering the shampoo. Wow, it is amazing! The cool tingling while it works is wonderful.     • Conditioner should be in a pot, not a bottle
I have been using this for over a month. It appears to be helping with my itchy scalp.The reason for only 4 stars...THE BOTTLE! I had to to cut the bottle open, & scrap the conditioner into a usable container. It is impossible to use. The bottle is so hard, the conditioner so thick, nothing comes out. It really is ridiculous. I hesitate to purchase again because of this The shampoo is also in a very hard bttle, but leaving it upside down in the shower helps. ... show more

    • Bottle is really difficult to use
Product seemed good, smelled great, and hopefully helps my mothers scalp. However the bottle is really difficult. The plastic is way to hard to squeeze, so you end up having to take off the cap and bang into hand and still it is to hard to squeeze, really made it difficult to use.

I swear by this stuff!! I have really bad eczema on my head and after using the shampoo & conditioner for a week I am never trading. I barely itch my scalp now and feel so at ease. I just wish it wasn’t expensive. Lastly, it’s a hard bottle to squeeze.

    • FIX. THE. BOTTLE.
Usually Love this conditioner but lately this brand has 1) made the bottle IMPOSSIBLE to squeeze with 1 hand. I have to use both hands EVERY time to squeeze some out. It’s extremely annoying. FIX. YOUR. BOTTLE. 2) the cap came off in the box and the conditioner spilled everywhere. Please fix your freaking cap!! Good lord. The cap is so fragile and breaks all the time and the little aluminum-plastic over the hole that “seals” the bottle, always is a b*tch to get off. Make sure to have some tweezers on hand. Also, I think they might have changed the formula? This used to give my scalp a tingly feeling and the tea tree oil smell was more pronounced, but now, not so much. Just sucks because this brand of conditioner is the only thing that helps my dandruff. Guess I have to look elsewhere now. ... show more

I have a very dry scalp and none of the dandruff shampoos helped. I thankfully found this company. It's the only thing that actually works. The shampoo strips all the dry skin and build up off your scalp and hair. The conditioner has cooling mint and soothes your scalp and leaves me hair super soft.
