this really helped me find top dead center on my 2013 bmw 320i, i tried to get the pin in without this at first and could not find the whole and i had already taken off the oil pan and put it back on so without this i would not have been able to find the TDC on flywheel of my bmw. i had to do it twice because after i replaced the chain i was getting error codes for timing being off when i tried to find the tdc without this tool then i used this tool to find the whole and no more codes for timing and worked perfect and easy to use ... show more

I bought this unit to search for my landline cable behind the wall as the wall mount phone jack came off. just to let you know i hate drywall work so this was a better option for me..after charging it up with the USB cord, Thank god no batteries to buy. I slipped the camera into the wall and found the trailing end of the cable. with the use of a a retractable 4 fingered cable I was able to recapture the cable. the unit works good. I wish it had a wide angle lens as the point of focus is a little small in my eyes.. you have to get pretty close to your target for a really focused picture.brightness is very good..its very compact, a little hard to hold the screen and maneuver the cable in my project. I guess i should have uncoiled the whole cable. All in all a good buy for me. A wide angle lens would be useful. ... show more

I received this about 3 weeks ago and have been using it quite a bit. This item works right out of the box. Very simple to use. I'm using it to inspect engine parts in situ and it works perfect for this application. Primarily it goes where your eyes can't, but it's even useful for looking at things close up. Screen image is good but viewing angle is critical. I dropped it once on concrete and it was no worse for wear. Have wanted one of these for a long time and the price point (and my current need) spurred me to get it. No regrets so far. If something changes all update my post. ... show more

I wanted a borescope for some limited applications, including trying to scope out my air vents to see if I could run an ethernet line through them. The picture quality is really nice, and the option of being able to record the video is really nice. The reason I gave it four stars, though, is that the cable tends to want to bunch up on itself, and so it won't extend all the way down the vent as I was hoping. Maybe if I spent more time unraveling it before use it would be a bit more sturdy, but perhaps I'm just impatient. Still, it works for my needs, but it takes a bit of time to get the cable to be stiff enough to go all the way down it. If it was slightly more sturdy, I'd give it five stars for sure. ... show more
