  • Excellent!
This is better than I expected! I must admit that I never had a borescope before this one. I had nothing to compare it to, so I had no idea how good it is. I must admit that I am pleasantly surprised by how this performs. It is amazing to see anything in such high definition view. I am pleased by it's ability to see into any plumbing such as my sink that was slowly eliminated because of hair clogging that I didn't consider a problem. Although that was one of the best reasons to use this, I have also found it good to finding items in unusual locations like under furniture, and car seats. I had a plumbing company in my home to replace a hot water heater. They saw this and evaluated it. The guys that looked at it thought that it is very good. I didn't need to compare this to anything, but I think that this is more than productive. I found that this gave me the ability to evaluate what my problems were. Now, I think that this can help me from needing to pay plumbers, etc. to work on my appliances. I have found that some companies charge $100 or more just to evaluate systems. Being able to pay this amount for the same service makes this worth buying regardless. Since I have had this, I have found two situations that would require someone to be sent to access what I needed to be done to fix my issues from my home repair company. With this, I have found that I don't need to pay the one hundred dollar fee for an evaluation from my insurance company. I can check many issues out myself. I can also see if a company lies about the issues of clogging when it isn't dramatic. I think that this is especially good for a home owner. It is nice to be able to evaluate problems alone. Whether I look under furniture or into pipes, I see more than most. I also think that anyone who needs to see other areas can use this better. Regardless, everyone will find a use for this. I can see how anyone can find many good uses for this. It works well and I have had no problems with it. I would recommend this to anyone. ... show more

  • A Handy Endoscope for At-Home Car Repairs and Beyond
I recently got this endoscope to help with my car repair work at home. These tools are really useful for reaching into tight spots. I used to have a basic one that connected to my phone, but it wasn't great, so I decided to try out this upgraded model. The design of this endoscope is pretty solid, mainly because it's all one piece. The cable is 16 ft long, which is great because I might need to use it for things like checking a drain. It's also waterproof, which is a plus. The only downside is that the cable is permanently attached to the device, so I'm a bit worried about it wearing out where it connects. But that seems like it'll take a while to happen. It didn't come with a carrying case, but the box it came in is sturdy enough for now. A handle on the box would make it easier to carry around. When it comes to using it, the screen is surprisingly good. It's big enough and the picture is clear, as you can see in the photos I attached. One tip for using it is to clean the lens before you start, especially if you're going into dirty places. That way, you get the clearest picture. The long cable is useful, but it can be a bit much to handle sometimes. It does come with velcro straps to keep it organized, which helps. The controls are straightforward and it was already set to the highest resolution, so I didn't have to mess with that too much. It also has a MicroSD slot, so you can save your photos and videos and transfer them to your computer. I'm using it on a project right now, and it's working really well. The ability to change lenses is super handy for tight spaces. You just have to get used to how to position the camera before you start. Overall, I think it's a good buy for the price. Pros: - Sturdy, single-body design - Long, 16 ft waterproof cable - Clear screen and high-resolution images - User-friendly with straightforward controls - MicroSD slot for easy file transfer - Comes with other handy attachments Cons: - Cable is permanently attached, which might affect long-term durability - No dedicated carrying case (though the box is a temporary solution) - Managing the long cable can be cumbersome ... show more

  • Only 2 things I don’t like
This thing is super cool. There are only 2 things I don’t like 1: the directions talk about making sure not to damage the front end where the light is and the problem is that it is very unprotected. I have tried to put a clear cap over it but then the camera on it shows the underneath the cap and doesn’t shine through. 2: Also the cord is very long which is great but it also is not super easy to direct it - for example I have been trying to check out if the piping for my dryer vent is clogged. I can only go in about 2 feet and then I have no real control to continue pushing the wire through. I really wanted to do my review after I got an sd card because you can record video with it (one of the awesome features) but I never got one. I am going to however video with my phone above its screen to show the apartment manager there is indeed an issue with this vent despite the maintenance guy saying it is all clear!! I was able to see that yes there is airflow but only about 2 inches when the pip is about 6 inches. So it does take practice to use it. I find that I am trying to move the handheld monitor around to get the right angle when it is obviously the cord you need to place correctly. Overall I recommend having one of these on hand. There could be so many, many reasons to use it. How about not having to pick ip the couch to look for a wallet?! Etc. ... show more
