This helmet rocks for the price! I have a full face Motocross style Helmet I wear riding my ATV and dirt bike. In my opinion u should only wear a full face helmet for a motorcycle, atv, dirt bike, etc. I wouldn’t wear a half or even 3/4 helmet on those if you care about yourself at all. Go smash your jaw into the pavement at just 5mph and see how it feels and how many teeth you have left. But in the relative safety of a fully enclosed side by side with roll bars and a 5pt seat harness, a full face helmet is probably overkill. I wanted a lighter half helmet for that purpose but still a real DOT helmet that will save my melon if needed. This works great. To highlight a couple nice features: 1. The twisting adjustment knob at the back is great. Really snugs it up or loosens it as needed. 2. The strap is like a ratcheting with quick release. I hate on my full face helmet how long it takes to put off and on because of looping the strap thru the metal clasps and it’s a pain to quickly take on and off. With this quick setup on this helmet it literally takes half a second to throw your helmet on and off. Very nice. For sizing I might say these run a tad tad small. I normally wear a L helmet. But based on the measurements listed I ordered an XL and it fits great. With the knob at the back you can snug it up. I’d probably say if you are a little unsure what size or in between two sizes, to just go with the larger size. For the price this is a darn good helmet. I might even say it’s the best u can find for the price. ... show more

I got mine with the Vega helmet with the Patriotic Flag graphics and have received many compliments. The drop down sun shield works fantastic and fits over my Px. glasses. It does not rattle, is easy to use, stays in place, and has great clarity. I am pleasantly surprised at only about $80 how well this Vega Helmet is made. It fits great, and the adjustable headband is awesome when wearing a skull cap or beanie under helmet . I have an HD helmets that the graphic is pealing off after just 3 years that was cleaned properly w/ only warm water. This Vega is as good or better than my HD helmet, IMHO. Bottom line , glad I didn't save a few bucks, (or spend more) and be disappointed in a different brand ... show more

This is my first purchase of an open faced helmet. There are two accessories you will need if you purchase this helmet. 1) Eye protection. The built-in drop down sunshade works great for the sun, but too much wind gets through at speed and will make your eyes water to the point that it affects your vision. Get a pair of clear goggles or safety glasses. I wear safety glasses while using this helmet and have no trouble using the visor at the same time. 2) Ear protection. Wind noise is pretty bad when you get above 45mph. I bought a pair of motorcycle ear plugs and they made a huge difference. With that being said, I love this helmet. It looks great. I love the quick release buckle and the knob on the back to precisely adjust to the size to your head. I love the breeze on my face as I ride. Buy it. ... show more

I bought a Vega Warrior half helmet in the grey subdued flag pattern 3 years ago. It was my go to lid whenever I rode my HD Springer Softail. It's extremely comfortable and the knob on the back makes it easy to make quick adjustments on the fly. The drop down sun visor is also a huge plus on those bright sunny days. It also comes standard with a very robust ratcheting strap, which makes it far easier and faster to put on and remove the helmet. A couple of weeks ago I called the company to inquire about removing the helmet liner so I could wash it. I was told that it snapped in and to just pull it out. Contrary to the advice I was given over the phone, do not attempt to remove the liner. It is glued to the inner styrofoam shell which is glued to the outer helmet shell. Needless to say that the inner shell separated from the outer shell as I tried to remove the liner. I called Vega helmet back and explained what happened. Without hesitation, they offered to replace my helmet. Several days later I received my replacement Warrior helmet in the thin blue line flag scheme. I absolutely love this design more since I've been in law enforcement for over 15 years. Not only does Vega Helmets make an awesome half helmet with the Warrior series, but their customer service is amazing! I will definitely be ordering from them again. ... show more

I was looking for a 1/2 shell helmet because I sweat profusely from my head when I am wearing the full faced helmet in the summer. I find with this half shell helmet, I get a lot more air. My head does not sweat like it does in the full faced helmet. I like the fact that there is a knob in the back that you can adjust it to be tight against your head. The quick release mechanism is great. It is well padded. The sun shield gives extra protection from glare. It runs true to size, I have always purchased a medium in helmets, and this one fits perfectly in a medium. I would purchase again if I were in need of another helmet. ... show more

Bought 4 years ago. Size Small but probably could've gotten XS, but it is adjustable and glad I got the Small!! Really like this helmet and I hate wearing them. Always got headaches from wearing them, EXCEPT with this one. I'm pretty sure it is because it's adjustable. I can wear my hair up in a ponytail or bun and it still fits properly. I wear sunglasses and I can still pull down the visor over them. Planned to switch it out to a clear one for night riding but haven't. The quick and easy Chin strap is a game changer from my previous helmets. No more jacking with feeding it through the loops. Definitely a great purchase! And of course, love the design. ... show more
