    • Forget all the night guards just buy this every few months
I've tried it all, dentist office types, the cheap DIY subscriptions, and various DIY that are sold on here. This one is the only one that lasted the course and is super easy to do, and that little white plastic holder is the key. One gripe I have is that I wish I could buy just the molding itself. Instead of having to buy a new set and throwing out not only wasteful packaging but also the white tray every few months. ... show more

I have been using this night guard for years! They’re easy to mold and even remold I’d needed. Comfortable to wear at night without coming out or moving around. These work great and are way less expensive than having a dentist make an actual night guard appliance.

    • These are great, guaranteed, and with a trick I learned, I'll never use another kind of mouthguard!
I grind and clench my teeth VERY hard while I sleep and often wake up with a sore jaw or migraines, but not anymore. This is not the first Dentek mouthguard kit I've bought. I bought another one maybe six months ago and loved it but I had to have a tooth removed and it no longer fit me. So I bought this one and figured out the best trick to get it to have a tight fit: In the molding process when you bite down after it has been heated, use your tongue to press on the back of the holder and your fingers to push on the outer/front part. I made this one on my first try and am SO happy with the fit. Also, the quality is fantastic. Even after months of using it every night with my severe clenching and grinding, I still haven't managed to bite through it. I think because there is a harder plastic on the bottom beneath the rubber but whatever the reason, it works SO good. I will never buy another mouth guard and highly recommend this one to anyone who has clenching and/or grinding issues. ... show more

This mouthgaurd is pretty awesome for the price! I chewed through my custom guard from the dentist and my insurance only covers one for a lifetime. At $600 to replace that one, I figured I ought to try some cheaper alternatives first. I think I actually like the DenTek guard better than the one I got from my dentist, as it is not as hard. It is larger than the custom one I chewed through, but for the price, I don't mind at all. I read a lot of reviews before settling on this guard and found it very easy to mold. I began using it in June and it is still in pretty good shape after nightly use. The bottom layer has begun to peel away from the squishier molded part, but I think that is because I left it in the denture cleaning solution too long one day. Also, I just purchased an additional 3-pack as it was difficult to find this product again. I also purchased the Doctors brand nightguard and found it difficult to properly mold and fit, though I had read good reviews on that one as well. ... show more

UPDATE #2: Had the same problem with the second guard. These are just too expensive to have to replace them every other month. UPDATE: Lasted two months before the hard piece came loose from the softer upper layer (see photo). This made it very uncomfortable to wear. I still like these enough to consider replacing them every other month. These don't reach my back molars but still work to protect my teeth as my back molars don't touch with these guards in. The molding case made it very easy to get these set up, but there is a part that sticks out and rubs against my tongue. It will need to be cut down and smoothed out. I like that these guards have a hard bottom. They seem very sturdy. ... show more
