  • Works great but needs longer bolts
Like other mentioned. K +1 this. Took half a day. Expect transmssion fluid to fall over your face while installing. Upper fan (passenger side) brackets are different form OEM. Because of this, the original bolts are too short to secure the fan. Item seems well made otherwise. Beware if you have a 03 model. Update: was able to find two longer bolts to secure the cooling fan on the drver's side, size M6 -1.0 x 16. Installed successfully. ... show more

  • Quality radiator
It's made in China but it looks good and all the fittings and speed nuts were in place. You will have so much fun if you live in the rust belt!! Honda and basically all Auto manufacturers have simply gone the route of maximum profit over all else including but not limited to sacrificing intelligent engineers with, well, more affordable ones (if ya know what I mean). The obstacle course that will have to navigate through to replace this radiator is simply an embarrassing design debacle. I've spent the last 30 yrs. as a Master Mechanic and so I have the tools and experience to get through all the idiocy and get the job done, I wouldn't even attempt this if you are not a somewhat experienced Tech. But hey the radiator is Great!!! ... show more

  • Defective - Bottom pan not properly aligned and crimped to Core.
Installed this to replace OEM on ’03 Honda Odyssey. Noted the comments are all correct that because they changed the securing nuts to clips that the bolts are now too short. Solved this problem by turning around the clips. HOWEVER, I got it installed and started filling and before I could even finish filing it, coolant was pouring out the bottom; thought I had left the drain open is running out so bad. Turns out it is defective; the bottom corner (drivers side) is not lined up and crimped properly. No way to fix it and now have the van on jacks in the garage so had to go buy one locally to finish the job. Very frustrating! The one purchased locally is a lot sturdier. Made me realize that this one was so thin that it was curved and bowed. ... show more

  • Good value for the money
I bought a Denso because I thought it was made here in America. Guess what? This one is made in China. It shows in the fit too. Like others have posted the fans don't fit exactly. You WILL have to use slightly longer bolts OR zip ties. I was able to use the existing bolts for the condenser fan and just removing the second washer. The radiator fan was a bit of a crooked fit. I had to fabricate a shim out of a small piece of rubber hose. And yes, you will have to remove the bumper, grille, and headlamps to access the radiator. Keep up with your bolts and clips. It will take you a minimum of 2 hours if you know what you're doing. If it's your first time, then likely 3+. Good luck! Oh yeah, turn your heat up and let the engine get warm to ensure you're adding enough coolant. ... show more

At 280,000 miles, I guess we were due. 2002 Odyssey. Perfect fit. The original was also made by the same manufacture. The original had a couple external foam strips on it that this did not have or come with. They go between the radiator and transmission cooler. I used some half inch weather stripping. First order from Amazon was delivered damaged. Fortunately we have an alternate vehicle and were not in a big hurry to have the van back on the road. The exchange was handled fairly quickly (two day shipping) and went without a hassle thru Amazon. A few months later, it's working as it should. Good purchase, would buy again. ... show more

  • Not as good as the original
Even thought it is made by Denso but the quality is not as good. Like other had mentioned that two upper radiator fan mount bolts now are too short. Needs to get new bolts. One of the bottom fan mount bracket is too close to the radiator body. The nut provided is mounted against the plastic body. A slightly longer bolt will certainly crack the body. A slight shorter bolt will not secure the fan well enough. ... show more

  • Good Product Good Value
Denso is known for good product, I was pleasantly surprised that I could purchase a new Denso radiator for less than $90. My installation was on a 2000 Honda Odyssey, which was a bit challenging but the radiator fit fine and has solved my leak issue. I would recommend this product to anyone.

  • OEM replacement, minor design updates may cause a minor issue. Lasted 7.5 years, time for another.
The unit I received was clearly an OEM replacement, and fit well in my 2000 Honda Odyssey. Their was a minor design change which cause a little trouble. My original radiator used a threaded square nut set into slots in the top and bottom tanks to hold the fans on. This replacement uses a formed and threaded clip. It serves the same purpose, but shifts the engagement threads about 1/8" away from the fastener. I would say the newer design is better. The problem is that some of the original fasteners (bolts) are a little short and only leave a couple of thread of engagement in the new clip design. In the end there was only one location which I could not engage... enter the Zip-Tie! Now a month with it installed... in cold Northeast temperatures and no issues. Update 7 and 1/2 years later: Moved to the desert SW of the US. Radiator has held up for cross country drives and lots of kid shuttling. Went out for a Sunday drive in 110 F summer temps to let the teen get some practice in the old van. After a long uphill slog with the van loaded with family and the dog, we smelled coolant. Bad news, the top end tank of the radiator cracked. Pulled over and got some duct tape to patch it, and water to refill it. By stopping every 5 miles to add water, turning off the AC, and blowing hot air out the heater system to help keep it cool we made it home 15+ miles in the heat. Time for another radiator. I’ll be ordering another of the same. 7.5 years is pretty good. I would have expected more like 15. 4 stars rating stays. Good, not quite great. ... show more
