Description

The CASR101 is a cassette player/recorder designed in a "shoebox" style. It comes equipped with a top-loading cassette deck that can both play and record. The unit also features a retractable carrying handle for easy portability. The buttons are user-friendly, including a one-touch record button and automatic voice level control. You have the option to record using the built-in microphone or the external microphone that comes with a desk stand. The CASR101 also has a headphone jack for private listening and an auxiliary line- in jack for attaching other players. The unit can operate on either four "C" size batteries (not included) or with the included AC adaptor.

There was no skipping, no stuttering, just beautiful music. As others have mentioned, the control buttons are very small, but they are easily recognizable and work as as they should. Also, the connecting cables are short, so you may need longer ones, especially the one to an electrical outlet. Battery life seems good. Gift recipient was excited at first, but then was disappointed when it didn't play burned CDs even clean ones that weren't scratched despite the same burned CDs play fine in the car stock deck or on computer. Works on regular CDs just fine.

I bought this to use for listening to books on tape. The quality of the sound is good and it is easy to operate but I wanted to be able to just plug it in and avoid using a lot of batteries. However, the connector the provide for the usb port does not work. It stops intermittenly and you have to start again at the beginning and eventually it just stops playing. if you dont mind just using batteries it is a good buy. ... show more

The top doesn’t just pop open. You have to stop it then use your thumb nail to get it to open. Sounds not too bad. Headphones are cheap but what do you expect for under $ 20.00? Will buy better headphones.

This Cd This player Works! It was exactly what I was looking for to get for my dad. His old one broke and stopped running. It was hard searching amazon and the store nearby my neighborhood as cd player is outdated device. The Cd Player work very well. The sound, the discs are great. I bought it bc of the two way of charging it. The battery is fine but the usb.cable confused me. I plugged it in and saw no light or indication that it was Charged. When I unplugged thinking it was fully Charged it didn’t work. It’s like you gotta stay connected to the wall charger and listen to your music if you don’t have batteries. Annoying. But good old batteries are the best way to keep it going. I read the booklet and it says nothing on how to Charge it except to just plug it in with a wall outlet but no lights, or signs shows? Overall it served its purpose just to make my old fashioned dad listen to his CD’s while he’s on the Go or to relax. Not bad for the price too. But if I wanted better functionality and more satisfaction I should have spent more money on the other Cd players I saw scrolling down On Amazon lol But it’s okay and good gift it’s light weight and easy to carry and the buttons are good if you becareful.
