5 stars all around on this product. This is a handsome, well made unit that looks very elegant in any corner of a room. Years ago, I had an Alpine filter that made me remember how good these units are. All the hysteria about ozone generation is ridiculous, and it's not dangerous at all if used according to the instructions. It's important to place the unit as high up and near to a return a/c vent as possible to get maximum coverage. It's hard to believe a unit this size will cover the area it advertises but it absolutely will. It is incredibly efficient. To give you an idea of how efficient this thing is, I can cook bacon and sausage in a cast iron skillet and smoke my kitchen up. I turn the unit ozone generator on stage II and a high fan speed and within 15 minutes, all the smell and smoke in my entire house is cleared out and my home smells fresh again. It's that powerful. I like the timer functions on the unit and the ozone generator. I have mine set to come on about two hours before I come home from work and shut off before I get there. To be totally objective, there's two things I wish this unit would improve on: 1. I wish there were a way to dim the unit LED lights or turn them off entirely because they are pretty bright in a dark room. 2. I wish the fan was quieter. On high speed (which I don't use often at all), it's pretty loud. If you like white noise, this will be right up your alley. If loud fans bother you, it might be too much. However, you don't use it on high very often so it's not that big of an issue as far as I'm concerned. If the unit is on high, I'm using to to clear out the house for a short period of time. The unit is pretty heavy, comes well packed, and the instructions are pretty straightforward. Even with the improvements I suggested on the unit, this is still a five star purchase. It will do exactly what it says it will and then some. If you're looking for a way to really improve the air quality by means of 4 stage filtration and ozone generation, this is the unit to get. I couldn't be happier.

I LOVE this product BUT in the correct setting. In fact in the correct setting I give it a 10 and I liked it so much I purchased 4 more but not for my home, for my office. This is for the DELUXE unit. I purchased the deluxe unit and brought it home and set it according to the directions but was surprised when I awoke with a home that filled with Ozone as I slept. The directions are not specific. If you set the unit on timer and do not set the ozone on timer and the ozone level is set, you will release ozone. YOU MUST SET THE OZONE TIMER - OR - TURN THE OZONE LEVEL TO ZERO if you do not want OZONE. That said, the best application is in a WORK environment where you can SET IT AND FORGET IT. The unit will go on and off daily at the times you set and you can have the ozone set to go on daily at a time you are not there. THIS IS GREAT - I always used to forget to turn on my prior unit that had no auto schedule feature. Also if I left work before the cleaning staff I could not use the ozone that day. This way I set the units to ozone every AM hours before we open. I DO NOT NEED TO DO THIS MORE THAN ONCE EVER unless I want to change the level or time but that is easy to do. As for a home setup,, unless you know you will be away daily at the same time you will not be able to get the most out of this units schedule feature. You can use the schedule feature but will have to set it and the unit timer each time.

we thought we would have to move out for a couple weeks. But we got these air purifiers, and they went right to work and removed the worst of the odors very quickly, so we didn't have to leave! and it didn't take long until we were back to normal. Even more powerful than they look.

I think the most important thing to know before you buy this unit is listed on the last page of the User Guide, in the commonly asked questions section. The question being asked is: “Where should I place the Air Purifier in my home or office?” The given answer is: “The Air Purifier should be placed in the central location of your home, preferably a big open area, such as a living room or dining room. It is not designed for a single room use….” Once you power on this unit, this becomes abundantly obvious. The fan is loud to be honest; all that air being forced through about 6 inches of filter media makes noise… lots of noise. We are talking microwave loud noise on low… and ramps up to almost carpet vacuum cleaner noise at its highest setting. It’s not going to be a welcome thing you want to sleep next to in your bedroom, unless loud grey noise is OK with you. My house is 2000 square feet, and after an experimental single evening as a guest in my bed room, the unit then became an outcast in the central room of my house as described above. I wasn’t happy about that to be honest, so that is why I bring this up. The above info isn’t being displayed anywhere on the product information page. Knowing what you are buying beforehand makes for a happy consumer. So with that said, at first being quite disappointed with the unit, I think I am slowly coming around to liking it. The ozone generation capability of this unit is quite high, and can quickly become too much. It should never be left alone with unsupervised children or elderly folks that may make undesired adjustments. The user guide recommends a 30 minute dose of OZONE generation, once a day for my size house, should be good and after a few days of experimentation, I agree with that 100%. My central AC unit sucks this up and disperses it pleasantly throughout my home, giving that wonderful ‘scent’ of freshness that I find very appealing, in every single room. So this is very much a whole house unit. I give it 4 stars out of 5, simply because of the noise this thing makes, as well as the amazingly bright LED’s on the front panel. We are talking too bright to stare at, brighter than some flashlights I have owned, ridiculous really. A strip of electrical tape covering them almost 99%, makes them just about perfect. One last thing, the remote I got was not as advertised on the Amazon web site page, it’s a functional but rather ugly white piece of plastic thing. And oh yeah, it only works when you point it directly at the front face of the unit, so no off angle clicking works. Finally, this is not a cheap thing that is overpriced. You can see the quality manufacture in every way so I am content with the price of the thing. Hope this helps.
