The furniture is quite sturdy. The wood is strong and fairly heavy. Assembly took us almost 4 hours, which was quite a bit of time. It’s a good size and works well for storing the baby’s items. desperately wanted a changing table on top of a dresser that wasnt just shelves. that way i can always use the top for decor and she can just have a dresser as she grows up. it works just fine, was decently easy to put together, and it is a good size. i'm 5'4 and it is maybe just an inch or 2 too tall for me but i can still use it just fine, and it is hard to find anything shorter. overall it is a good product. ... show more

This dresser changing table is perfect in my baby's room. We bought the matching bed frame as well. It took me collectively around 2 1/2 hours to build on my own. I would recommend a second person but definitely doable with one. I've noticed these products give off a strong smell at first but within a few days it is gone. Purchased the Perry crib and matching dresser. We put the dresser together first and there was a big dent in the top of the dresser. The paint was also missing. The box that the crib came in wreaked of chemical smell without even being opened. (Both the dresser and the crib came well packaged in styrofoam, so I assume that the items were packaged this way.) Once the dresser was put together, we moved onto the crib. The crib had a big dent in the headboard and paint was missing as well. The smell is horrible. I ended up getting a headache from the overwhelming chemical smell. What effect would this have on my baby? After reviewing Google reviews on the Perry crib, I'm not the only one who has received damaged parts and toxic fumes. I've decided to return both. I am truly impressed with the directions that came with the dresser. It is a solid piece of furniture and will last a long time.. It took about an hour and a half from box to fully assembled. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FOR QUALITY AND SAFETY!
