    • Enhanced my swim workouts
I love this little unit and listening to downloaded Spotify playlists (downloaded) while I swim. My mile time and enjoyment have increased dramatically since I started swimming with this device. The lap tracker was finicky my first couple of swims, but once I found the proper placement, it works well. I also like that I can choose how often to hear my lap count and interval/total time. It took me a couple of times in (and out, and back in) the pool to find the earbud tip style and size that work best for me - several styles and sizes to trial. Frustrating at first, but worth the effort to get the perfect fit for me. The battery life is great when not connected to the internet, but I only connect when downloading new music, just make sure to fully charge the battery after downloading. As far as the screen size - it is small, but I would rather have that than a larger unit. The stylus included works well, but I either manage with my finger (carefully) or use the iPhone version of the remote connect app. As for starting the lap tracker and music before a swim, fingers work fine. I have not needed to contact Tech support directly, but did utilize the YouTube videos available online for a quick overview. ... show more

I got this and was so excited to set it up. Had to wait until business hours for someone to help me when I called in. I could not get it connected probably, Spotify had gone through some type of update. Customer service was beyond amazing and patient. She thought something was wrong with my charging cable and sent one out the next day. Thought I was good to go and tried to charge it the next day. Didn’t work. Didn’t turn on and didn’t charge. The cable was not sent priority so had to wait a week for it. For the amount I paid I was frustrated it didn’t work. I returned it. I personally think that it will get there sometime, but right now it is not the greatest product out there, it’s the only product out there that has all these functions and I believe that with time it will become a great product. I did not want to give it 1 star because some people may not have had any problems with it. I just didn’t have the patience to make sure to wait 4 hours to charge it after it was in the water and then make sure it only charges for four hours... that was a lot of alarms I was setting to make sure I didn’t ruin it. Overall, good. I love that I can listen to Audible, and podcasts. I also love the larger memory. I love that this is not an Apple product. I agree with others. The set up is a bit of a pain, but once it is done, it is easy to use. Battery life is not great. I have to charge every day, if I'm to use without running out of juice (I swim about an hour, with airplane mode on) EVERY time I turn it on, it goes through a basic care and instructions spiel each time. I cannot figure out how to turn that off. That is very frustrating. It got stuck in a loop the other day and burned most of my battery before it stopped. For the price, I'm not sure the player is superior to a waterproof smartwatch ,what sets it apart are the earphones. Earphones are great for swimming. 3 Different kinds provided. 2 Seem to work well with swimming laps for me. I prefer these to some of the bone conduction options out there. So far so good!     • Probably Worst Purchase Ever on Amazon
The bad reviews this item has received are well deserved. I disregarded them and purchased this item anyway. So they boo-birds were right and I was wrong. I am accustomed to using small tools requiring microscopic precision, but the tiny interface and tools provided to attempt to use this device renders it pretty much useless. I would strongly recommend deferring a purchase until Delphin can improve the interface to make it actually useable. Delphin would do well to emulate Apple's thoughtful design. There is nothing about this interface that is intuitive and nothing that works as one might expect. This item claims to have a "smart shutdown function." I activated this feature. In the normal world, one would assume that a check next to this feature means that the device automatically shuts down after some period of inactivity. I've tried to turn the Delphin off every possible way I can think of. But regardless the device never retains any charge. So smart shutdown must simply mean that it continues to run until the battery is depleted. I've resorted to keeping it plugged in, which I doubt it good for the battery's longevity. I purchased the Delphin to listing to audio books while I swim, but the Delphin never bookmarks where I hit the stop button. For some reason, it reopens to chapters I've already read. So I use precious battery life fast forwarding to where I last listened. I really wanted this item to work, but it has only been a source of frustration. Any time an item receives 1 star reviews from a quarter of the purchasers, it should be a warning. In this case, the warning is flashing red. ... show more
