Was fairly easy to install after watching a few YouTube videos. Works great. It is fairly silent. It warms our 1000 sq ft garage in a few minutes. I love it and would do it again. So nice having the controlled environment. I also like that I can control it from my phone.

Great Mini-Split AC – Perfect for a Hot Texas Concession Stand Bought this to help cool a 500 sq ft concession stand packed with 4 beverage fridges and 3 freezers — and with 100°+ days here in Texas, that’s no small task. Two months in, and I’m very happy with the performance. It keeps the space comfortable and handles the heat load well. Installation was straightforward. I rented a vacuum pump from the local auto parts store to pull a vacuum before charging, and everything else was simple to set up. Highly recommend for similar commercial or home setups!

Copper line set (1/4" & 1/2" pipes) are weak link in system. Two problems with lines. 1) 1/2" copper line is difficult to bend do to stiffness of copper. Using "Ratcheting Tubing Bender Kit" without and with Plastic strip "Tube Bender Kit", left crinkles or wrinkles in one bend, another been collapsed and had to be cut-out. Found best solution for both copper lines was a two handle "Tubing Bender"; which holds or traps copper line as it is bent around curve of tool. Suggest practicing on old 1/2" and 1/4" copper tubing and bending slowly. 2) Flared ends of copper tubing. Whether flared ends are not properly done at factory, the copper pipe isn't of quality required, or instructions specifying ft-lbs to tighten 1/2" and 1/4" flare nuts are way to high - is open to debate. Using a digital wrench for torquing flare nuts resulted in flared ends ruined to point copper lines could be pulled out by hand. (Picture attached of cutoff ruined flares). Accuracy of digital wrench was verified using beam and arm style torque wrench at 13 ft-lbs and 40 ft-lbs. Suggest hand tightening and when flare nut starts to resist stop. I can only guess at torque being near 7 ft-lbs (50% of specified) for 1/4" and 23 ft-lbs (60% of specified) for 1/2". I don't do HVAC for a living. But have been doing HVAC before I could drive. Never seen copper flared ends ruined like these, and on several occasions I have had to overly torque connections to stop them from leaking. Two others said they had never seen copper flared ends end up as shown or tiny copper rings left in flare nuts. I hope this helps somebody: You can buy pre-cut lengths of tubing which is highly flexible, with only the ends being of stiff copper tubing where flare nuts go. Search for RectorSeal NoKink or Pioneer EZFlex Flexible Lines. Python Line Sets are flexible tubing all way to ends which have special fittings to connect to flares on unit.
