Got this unit on sale and couldnt be happier with the value. I easily installed this in my studio in Hollywood just in time for summer and didn't feel a thing. The fit of the AC was a bit tight but I prefer that to help with insulation. I put it in my kitchen window and it's pretty far removed from my main living space. Usually, this would mean that it's internal thermostat will shut it off before the main living space is the right temperature. However, I linked this AC to my Amazon Echo Dot in my main living space. This means that my dot can control the AC based on its own internal thermostat and have it work more precisely. Also, the AC is incredibly quiet, especially in it's mute mode. All of its out of the box options are clearly legible and easy to use. Phenomenal!

After I read about twenty pages of warnings about how this product can burn me and my house down. I read the entire manual trying to figure out what EF means on the display. Never found anything on that topic, so no idea how to remove that, but I did manage to turn the unit down to 68 degrees. I'm guessing maybe this is C because I never stopped sweating while I waited for it to cool down. It was actually cooler outside than it was inside, and I am talking June in Oklahoma. I was unable to get the unit to turn off of ECO and I assume this to be the problem. It is trying to protect the environment, to heck with me and my needs. But this is the bottom line. It was SUPER easy to install. Just take it out of the box and pop it in the window. I as actually able to use the Styrofoam packing material to seal around the window. The unit comes with a very thin piece of hard plastic to seal the gap and it does not succeed at that. But like I said, I was able to cut 5 inch strips of Styrofoam from the packing material to seal the window. I cord was long enough to reach the plug. I was able to plug it in and turn the unit on. It said 76 degrees. I did not feel cool air coming out, so I did the silly thing, which is turn the unit down as i that is going to make the air coming out to be cooler. But when I got to 68 degrees, the display stopped working. It said EF and refused to allow me to make any changes to the settings. I left it on for several hours. The temp did not go down until the sun went down. I will continue to keep working with it to see if I can get the wifi part to tell the eco part I need it to cool me down some more.

First, it's crucial to point out that this review is of the Della 8000 BTU INVERTER window AC and no other Della model. After extensive time consuming research, and significant hands-on experience, I would venture the opinion that this little known and rarely available window AC is the very best one out there in its 8000 BTU range. It blows positively frigid air. But most significantly it's amazingly quiet. Manufacturer reps on this point are often deceptive, and consumer reviews are subjective and often contradictory regarding the same unit. I use a decibel meter and can report that the noise level at six feet directly in front of this unit is 45 dB with the unit on cool and the fan on high and 39dB with the fan on low. I don't believe even the vaunted Midea inverter AC boasts better numbers. (Inverter ACs are, I believe, far and away the quietest. so far as I'm aware they are not made in less than 8000 BTU models.) Moreover, this unit will be much easier to install for most people than the Midea U-shaped units (although ease of installation for any unit will depend heavily on the nature of one's window, sill design and depth etc). I believe this because I have also used a 12000 BTU Midea U-shaped unit. (It proved completely defective and dealing with Midea's warranty department was quite simply the worst retail experience of my life.) Finally, the Della unit has an excellent iPhone app which I use exclusively to control the unit rather than the remote or physical buttons. I actually own two of these units. One I purchased at the end of last summer from the Hammacher Schlemmer catalog and it carries the Emerson Quiet Kool brandname. The one I'm reviewing I purchased about a month ago from Align through Amazon and it carries the Della brandname. But the two are absolutely identical. HS no longer carries it, and I never found anyone other than Align who does so now. It's presence is almost non-existent on the web and I have no idea why. As you can see, I haven't yet used either of my units for even one full summer, so I can't report on reliability.

Here's my first review. Initially, I didn't know what an inverter window air conditioner was, so I decided to give it a try. After installing this inverter window air conditioner, it completely changed my impression of traditional window units. The cooling capacity is excellent, and most importantly, it's very quiet! Additionally, I compared it with other brands of inverter window air conditioners and found that this one from Della looks particularly nice looking . Will update more if I found something else.🫡
