The Dell XPS 13 7390 that I bought has a fan so loud you can hear it across the room. When it boots up, the fan runs loudly for 15-20 minutes and then stops until the next boot up. This computer was purchased as a replacement for an older version of the same model which had flawless performance for almost 4 years. Unfortunately, Dell quality is not what it once was. Today, when I started setting up this new Dell, I found out that it is defective. I contacted both Amazon and Dell. After over two hours online and on the phone with both companies, I now own an unused $1,500 defective laptop that neither company will replace. Although the computer has not been used, I am 3 weeks beyond the "replacement period". Dell will “repair” this brand-new computer--but not replace it. Lesson learned: Neither Dell nor Amazon will make a policy exception to take care of a long-time customer and do the right thing. ... show more

I bought Dell XPS 13 7390 touch screen laptop, exactly after one year , the screen started flickering. It was out of manufacture warranty. I had to ship to Dell Depot and they repaired by replacing the LCD Assembly. I was using other laptops previously for example Lenvo thinkpad, two laptops never had any issue even after 3 years. I bought the Dell XPS laptop with high expectations as it was known as their best, but Dell continue to use cheap parts and I can't believe their best laptop LCD assembly malfunctioning just with little over an year, this is their premium laptop which is pricey as well. I don't recommend by looking at this laptop fancy screen, but it is a cheap laptop which looks nice but not durable, thought of sharing the facts so that people are aware of it before buying it. ... show more

I originally liked this computer but then it started having problems. Quit for good and wouldn't boot after around a year and a half. Sent it back to Dell and they replaced the motherboard and SSD for over $350. When I got it back, it had new problems. It would continually shut down or just suddenly lose power. I sent it back to Dell, who claimed they couldn't see a problem and sent it back without repair. It is hard to describe how dishonest and difficult their technical support is. They continually say "I'll have to call back" then never do. I will never buy another Dell based on my experience with this piece of junk. ... show more

Before buying any dell xps laptop, search xps battery swelling. You will find that the batteries swell and dell refuses to SELL replacement oem parts. They will ban you from the dell forums if you complain.

This product is awful. The motherboard and drives failed from the box opening. I had it serviced and the second motherboard failed with the CPU fan seizing and the blades literally shearing off (see photo and video). Contacted Dell about the issues and no help at all, even with their premium support. Would not recommend at all. Very poorly crafted product. ... show more
