    • This Non-Tech-Savvy Person Doesn't Understand the Price Tag

The best thing about this laptop is that it was very easy to set up right out of the box. I could not set up my email account in the email shortcut, but I've noticed that problem becoming more and more common with Aol accounts. The laptop is basically the size of a piece of paper (thicker of course) and it's quite lightweight. It boots up in no time!! The touchscreen works perfectly as does the keyboard and touchpad. I mostly use this laptop to go online. The picture quality is great in my opinion. HD videos look and sound good. There are only usb c ports and one sd card reader. I don't have any problem charging it and the battery life seems exceptional compared to a previous Dell laptop I had. I've had one major issue beginning the first day I had it completely up and running. The Wi-Fi symbol disappeared and I had to order a usb c to Ethernet adapter in order to get back online to do any real troubleshooting. Once the adapter came I was able to get the Wi-Fi back. A few days later it happened again. That time I went through the Dell app already on the laptop and found an update for one of the drivers that had to do with Wi-Fi. I downloaded that and got the Wi-Fi symbol back. That's the limit of my troubleshooting skills. If I have the issue again I will contact Dell. The contact info for Dell support is pretty front and center in the My Dell app on the start menu. I sure hope I won't need it! Overall this laptop works for me. I'm not tech savvy so I don't understand what about this laptop warrants the hefty price tag. The size? The speedy processing? Maybe someone who needs a laptop to do more than the basics would have more to say about any exceptional capabilities this might have. ... show more

The Dell XPS 13 7390 that I bought has a fan so loud you can hear it across the room. When it boots up, the fan runs loudly for 15-20 minutes and then stops until the next boot up. This computer was purchased as a replacement for an older version of the same model which had flawless performance for almost 4 years. Unfortunately, Dell quality is not what it once was. Today, when I started setting up this new Dell, I found out that it is defective. I contacted both Amazon and Dell. After over two hours online and on the phone with both companies, I now own an unused $1,500 defective laptop that neither company will replace. Although the computer has not been used, I am 3 weeks beyond the "replacement period". Dell will “repair” this brand-new computer--but not replace it. Lesson learned: Neither Dell nor Amazon will make a policy exception to take care of a long-time customer and do the right thing. ... show more

This computer looks and feels great. The graphics are top notch, it's lightweight, and the touchscreen is responsive. The problem is that the processing power is too much for such a small computer. This means that the fans will come on (and sound like a jet engine) when it is not even doing anything. They will turn on during basic tasks like checking email or watching videos. Sometimes when I wasn't even using it but it was still on, the fans would turn on. The worst part too is that even with the loud fans, the computer would still get very hot to the touch. So bad I wouldn't recommend using it on your lap as it will be very uncomfortable. The last problem is that the touchpad is not responsive at all and usually would not register when I was trying to scroll. If you like using the touchscreen it's not as big of a deal but I still didn't like it. Definitely not worth the price tag. ... show more

I originally liked this computer but then it started having problems. Quit for good and wouldn't boot after around a year and a half. Sent it back to Dell and they replaced the motherboard and SSD for over $350. When I got it back, it had new problems. It would continually shut down or just suddenly lose power. I sent it back to Dell, who claimed they couldn't see a problem and sent it back without repair. It is hard to describe how dishonest and difficult their technical support is. They continually say "I'll have to call back" then never do. I will never buy another Dell based on my experience with this piece of junk. ... show more
