While their quality control of the “refurbishment” of the product is quite poor, they quickly addressed all of my issues on time once I addressed it to the seller. They where prompt in the replacement of parts when there was an issue. The 1st missing star was for it not working out of the box. The 2nd missing star is because I envisioned someone elderly person who knows nothing of computer hardware ordering these. Think how your grandma would feel if she got a refurbished pc that didn’t function? Would she even know to contact the seller? The PC had minor nicks and dents but, that is to be expected of a refurbished system so that carries little weight in this review. What does hold weight is the fact that the PC’s graphics card would fail after 2 minutes of operation (not even long enough for me to set up windows). The other main issue is to do with the monitors. They do display an image however, they have a trailing effect on black text. If I was doing some quality control while refurbishing PC’s that would be a disqualification for me. My mother also ordered a PC from here that had 2 issues of its own. 1. The monitors where the same model but, one had some issues with the color being off. 2. The CPU fan was not working. I was able to replace her fan because I had a spare 90mm fan on hand but, This pc would hit the temperature cut off and hard crash because of this. 2 out of 2 computers didn’t work out of the box and had some issues with displays. THE TAKEAWAY: The price you pay is probably the best deal you will find for a set up like this. Shoot for the extended warranty and also, contact the seller if you encounter any issues promptly. If you need something that works immediately out of the box for work I would look at another seller unless you have time for waiting for extra parts or for shipping the PC back and waiting for a replacement if you know nothing of internal computer hardware.

I hate that I even have to give it a star. If you want to literally burn your money, this is the right product for you. I wrote them, explaining my Dad's computer had started smoking, a lot like the one in the review with a video, and this was their response. "You received this item on 6/30/17 - over 4 months ago. It is highly unlikely that a computer catches on fire. Modern CPU’s will shut down if they sense an over-temperature condition. If that fails, the CPU will just burn out before it gets to the temperature to start a fire. Failing that, other components on the motherboard would fail before ignition. In all our time of selling these items, we have only seen one case that had a slight burnt smell, and that was because the owner switched out the power supply and put another one that was the wrong size and type needed for that unit. We were not consulted on that repair. We are sorry you are having issues. Computers need to be located in an area that is well ventilated, not closed up in a cabinet, for example. It needs to breathe. Also, because of the fan inside, it is susceptible to a collection of pet hairs that could cause a problem with the CPU. Our computers are "Certified Refurbished" so we have to maintain high product standards to sell on Amazon." My response, knowing it didn't really matter - ""Over 4 months ago" You sound very proud that your "high product standards" for my fathers computer to go up in smoke not even a half year after he bought it. It's extremely well ventilated, nothing fell into it, and nothing was switched. I've made several computers, they key to them not burning up is to not use crap quality and prey on people who don't know better. I do enjoy your condescending tone, I get it, you're use to people who know nothing about computers, and while your information may not be incorrect - it is highly unlikely that a computer would be put into the scenario that it overheats to that point. It's hardware failure, and crap hardware failure, flat out."

The price was great and I was willing to go with a refurbed unit, purchased the support package. Received the product and after booting up, the system would not recognize both monitors at the same time. The Asus monitors resolution could not be adjusted, as the monitors were not new and Windows 10 could not recognize. I contacted the seller. They sent me a new adaptor cable "y" connector. SAME ISSUE, I purchased 2 New monitors, resolution is great and adjustable. However, still cannot use two monitors. After consulting a computer repairman, he suggested I get a new graphics card, which I have done. Will install and hopefully fix the problem. As of today, I now have spent money on graphics card, monitors, cabling and advice than the system cost and still not a usable two monitor system. Very disappointed. Latest. Still unable to use two monitors. Spent 300 on mew monitors, 135 on new graphics card and still could only get one to work. I ordered a new splitter......received call from the new seller.... He explained what needed to be done. Use the DVI cable for one and use the HDMI for the other. Works perfectly. Thanks George. So, in review, the computer works well. I spent more trying to get it to work S advertised than I spent for the original system. I have two monitirs and a graphics card that I cannot use. But... At least it is now working. Round Sam is not a good supplier.
